Subscriber Scenarios #25 – A Flashy Challenge

So I’ve been slowly working my way through Demon Slayer for a while with a friend, and only just recently got to the Entertainment District Arc. As of yet I have not met Tengen’s wives, although I have seen them in the credits. That being said, I know they’re relatively in-demand characters, with one or two of them usually getting nominated to the NHML each month. Tengen himself has been in the Studio for a while, with a handful of appearances, so I figured he’d be happy to have his wives join him here. Since I haven’t really met them, I mostly guessed based on their designs how their dynamic might go, and hopefully I got the scene close enough to be believable.

Kintaro Oe’s Second Dare

A while ago Kintaro had his first taste of yaoi work in the Studio, but he played it safe with a partner who wasn’t that far off from the women he’s usually paired with. This time it’s a bit different, definitely more outside his comfort zone. I have no intention of moving Kintaro into a prominent yaoi role within the Studio, but he’s cute enough I figured some folks might like to see him on the other end of the equation at least once.

A pretty simple play on words here. I thought it might be a little fun if the weapons he was dual-wielding belonged to other characters who’re familiar with wielding multiple weapons (at least in their source media). Zoro famously uses three blades, and I’ve been told Tengen uses two large blades chained together like nunchuks, which I think is close enough.

First Shoot #21 – Tengen Uzui

Tengen is the second of three characters who tied in my last First Shoot poll on SubscribeStar. Since I don’t watch Demon Slayer I don’t really know much about him, although his headdress is annoying to draw so I don’t expect to do much with him (or, if I do, I’ll probably be using his less common hair-down design). His random partner is Yuki, the snow girl from Interviews with Monster Girls. Yuki reminds me a bit of Tengen’s wives, or what I’ve seen of them, and I think she’s a suitable partner here.
