So here we have August’s Near Hentai Monthly Lady, Otona Mitsuki from the hentai series Mankitsu Happening. I don’t typically like to draw characters from hentai (or even ecchi, most of the time), even ones I like, since I feel like the hentai kinda covers everything in most cases. Like, a large part of what I like to do is bring lewdness to things that aren’t inherently lewd, but I digress. I remember watching Mankitsu Happening about five years ago or so, but it didn’t really stick with me too much. I thought it was kinda generic and so-so as far as hentai goes, the story didn’t grab me and I thought the girls all felt a bit too familiar to other hentai I’d watched in the past. It’s not a bad series, though, and I can see why some folks might get attached to it or the characters. Otona here is an idol who gets caught up in the events of the story, and part of her character is this little disguise she wears while in public (the hat and glasses). We never see her have sex wearing these items, even though I think they’re cute and make her a bit less generic looking than she normally does. So, since I wanted to bring something to this pic you can’t find in the OVA itself, I had her wearing them here. I also decided to throw in two of the other prominent girls in the series, Rei Suzukawa (left) and Kururu Hiiragi (right) for good measure. And I guess for good measure we can confirm that the POV guy here is Keiichi Oyamada, the protagonist of the series. I mean, who else could it be, right?

With this post, NHML nominations for the month of September are now open. For those who don’t know, I’ll run down the rules real quick. Nominations are limited to one per person. You can nominate any female character you want, provided I have not drawn her within the past calendar year (though I prefer characters I’ve never drawn, period). Previous NHML winners are not eligible for a second time. Nominees must also not be from the same franchise as this month’s winner, Mankitsu Happening. If you violate any of those rules, I’ll let you know, and you can nominate someone else. I know it can be hard to keep track of these things. I’ll compile a list of the nominees in the sidebar of this site, and then on September 1st I will use a randomizer to select the winning character who I will proceed to draw sometime that month.
