Noriko is perhaps the least focused on of the Golden Boy girls. Most of the women Kintaro meets and interacts with have big, loud personalities. Noriko is the biggest exception to this, being a quiet and shy daughter of an udon restaurant owner who is being manipulated by a more confident and outgoing man who serves as the episode’s antagonist. Since she’s a quiet girl who has an unassuming appearance and is into things like flower arranging, she’s really overshadowed by many of the other women. I’m fond of her, though, mostly for how sincere, genuine and earnest she is in her affections. I know there’s some popular ladies coming up that people are probably looking forward to me getting to, but I enjoyed giving Noriko a small spotlight here in this pic.
