I don’t usually like putting disclaimers on my pics, I feel it takes away some of the fun, but just to be clear this, as well as the previous DVD cover and any future ones, aren’t meant to be taken too seriously or anything. This series is leaning into “bad end” scenarios for our Disney heroines, and that just kinda manifests differently for some films.
Anyway, Pocahontas is a character I’ve been fond of since I was a child. I believe her film was the first new movie I saw in theaters (I’d previously seen Pinocchio and Snow White in theaters, but obviously not when they were new). While it’s far from my favorite Disney animated feature, I do love the film’s use of colors and how it’s animated. Pocahontas also played a key role for my developmentally, as it was with her I have my earliest memories of being interested in feet. I had a McDonald’s-type little toy of her when I was a kid I used to play with (in a G-rated fashion, mind you), and she probably had a bigger effect on me than I really realize. Like many of the characters who were formative in my interests, I’ve managed to avoid drawing her up until now. This new DVD series seemed like a good chance to finally break the ice with her, and I used it to also bring in a couple other characters from her film, most notably Nakoma.

These are my favorite things you’ve done Nearphotison .
I was playing cards against Disney friday and one of the cards read out was “showing pocahontas the taste of white meat” weirdly poetic
Not a fan of the colonized theme to many bad actors and far too much ill intent behind it sad to see it here.but nice to see Pocahontas atleast
Sad to see colonized being used to many bad actors and ill intentions behind. With a boat liad of toxicity too boot.
