So, let me tell you all a story. In the fall of 2017 I started work on a parody of ” A Visit from St. Nicholas” (also known as “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas”). Then my Google account got shut down, as you all probably remember, and with it I lost access to my Google Docs. With the poem gone, I ended up scrapping the project, which would’ve been a series of images with the poem over it. I eventually got my account back, and around that time I began discussing the project with my friend CCat. She loved the idea, and we began conspiring to work together on another attempt at it.


So here we are, about ten months after we started discussing it. CCat did all the art for this (excluding the coloring), while the poem is mine. I hope you all will enjoy this comic, and here is the first page. ^_^

Commission Nintendo Pokémon

This is a commission I fulfilled through the Epic Tier this month, featuring Ash and his Greninja with Todd Snap. I don’t know how familiar everyone is with the plot developments of Pokémon XY, but Ash’s Greninja has a special form called Ash-Greninja where he takes on some of Ash’s physical characteristics and also gets a skill boost through their link. I don’t want to explain the form too much here, but that’s the basic idea. The premise of this commission is that Todd wants to photograph this form, but since it kinda happens on its own in battle they decide to try and instigate the link through other means…

This was another “world building” Ask that I got to have some fun with (sorry it’s a bit wordy as a consequence). I haven’t talked much about -where- the Near Hentai Studios is, but it’s basically not set in any sort of reality or established fiction… Like, just picture it more like a self-sustaining city-island floating in a void. That’s probably close enough, right? But anyway, I figured of my characters, Lillian would be the most fitting to be in charge of tentacle monsters. She’s the incarnation of Halloween spirit, and that gives her an affinity for anything spooky or horror-themed, like Lovecraftian eldritch abominations.

So this is the next colored page of Takatsu’s comic “S wa Fragile no S”. In this page, we find out that Suzuki has had his eyes on Satou-kun for quite some time. He reminisces about watching him with a lewd gaze while preparing to take his anal virginity.

Sorry that this project has slowed down in recent months. It’s not abandoned or anything, but other stuff’s gotten in the way recently. Hopefully here soon I can start dedicating more time to coloring it again. ^_^

Goku and Chi-Chi Date Night

So this is a pic I sketched out a long time ago (about half a year, I think?) and decided to pick up again as a stress-relief piece to work on between commissions. I just wanted to do something cute and simple with Goku and Chi-Chi, and thought it’d be fun to have Chi-Chi in her rarely-seen loosed hair design. Her lingerie here is loosely based on what she wore for the cover of “Fire Mountain Bliss”. I ended up also giving her a bit of makeup under the assumption that she’d want to doll up a little for a special couples night between them. I dunno.

Cardcaptor Sakura Commission

So here’s a commission featuring Takashi Yamazaki and Syaoran Li from Captcaptor Sakura. I haven’t watched this series in over a decade, so I don’t really remember Takashi (though he looks familiar), but the client describes him as an insufferable know-it-all type who’s prone to rattling off inaccurate trivia as a running gag. So that’s what’s up with his dialogue here, if you’re not familiar with the franchise or the characters. I don’t really have much else to comment about this one, but I hope y’all like it.

KonoSuba: God's Blessing on this Wonderful World! Near Hentai Monthly Lady

So here’s the Near Hentai Monthly Lady for December this year! Megumin is a magic user in KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World! (or just KonoSuba). The main joke with her character is that she only practices explosion magic (she refuses to cast anything else, and insists on casting an explosion spell once per day despite the level of magic needed completely draining her each time). Whenever she does cast magic, she yells out “Explosion!”, hence the joke here (though she’s not casting a spell in this pic, the explosion is a bit further south). I came very close to doing a yuri pic for her entry, and maybe some day I’ll still do some yuri content with her, but this time around I decided to pair her with KonoSuba’s primary character, Kazuma Satou.

With this post, NHML nominations for the month of January are now open. For those who don’t know, I’ll run down the rules real quick. Nominations are limited to one per person, and if I catch anyone trying to do multiple nominations by changing their names I will remove all of that person’s nominations. You can nominate any female character you want, provided I have not drawn her within the past calendar year (though I prefer characters I’ve never drawn, period). Previous NHML winners are not eligible for a second time. Nominees must also not be from the same franchise as this month’s winner, KonoSuba. If you violate any of those rules, I’ll let you know, and you can nominate someone else. I know it can be hard to keep track of those things. You may nominate by either commenting in the cBox, commenting to this post, or emailing me (Nearphotison2010@yahoo.com). I’ll compile a list of the nominees on the sidebar of this site, and then on January 1st I will use a randomizer to select the winning character who I will proceed to draw sometime that month.
