Here’s the third page of ben_10mil’s comic “Surprise” colored. I decided to go a different route with the reveal of the second panel (as you can see below, the original version had little lightning bolts). I think the starburst here looks a bit better, and is also just funnier to me. Hopefully you guys like it, too.
So in early 2016 I had a commission client who wanted to purchase a few random manga pages to be colored. Even though this wasn’t exactly my normal style of commission, I agreed to, and the first was an Asuka/Shinji page from a doujin called ASUKA28. I colored it, and the client liked it so well that instead of doing the next page he had planned (which was from a completely different doujin) he asked me to do another page from ASUKA28. At the time he seemed very interested in getting the entire doujin colored, and so I sat on the two pages I had colored for a long time. However, I didn’t hear from him again, and even if I did I don’t know if I’d be able to take on a project like this again today. I just have too much else going on. I didn’t think it was worth keeping it squirreled away, so I decided to release the two pages I’d colored here for you guys. If you’re interested in checking out the full doujin, you can find it here: https://hitomi.la/galleries/764286.html (or just search for “Saigado ASUKA28” if you don’t like this host).
This page took longer than I expected due in large part to the position used. In most of the panels it wasn’t a factor, but a couple of them proved especially time consuming for me, and took multiple drafts to get to look right. Hopefully the final product was worth all the work. I know these pages come out slower than many of you would like, but I can assure you I’m doing my best to get them out as quickly as I can. Page eight is already under construction, though I’m sure it’ll be a while before it’s complete.
This is a picture drawn and colored by an artist known as Er Ar. The story behind this pic is that a couple months ago, Er approached me wanting to do an art trade. I wasn’t 100% on board with the idea, because I knew I likely wouldn’t be able to hold up my end of the trade any time soon, but Er talked me into it by promising that I could take all the time I needed. Predictably, other stuff kept getting in the way, to the point where I eventually offered to pay for the the other half (which was done pretty quickly) as a commission since I was worried about finishing my own. While Er at first told me that wouldn’t be necessary, I guess his financial situation changed and he accepted that arrangement. So I paid his commission price, and figured I might as well share the picture here with you guys.
I went back and forth on a few different ways to answer this Character Ask, but ultimately I decided that this idea was too cute not to draw. Also, I like that it allowed me to use Killua’s outfit from his last Ask.
Here is the One-Shot comic page from October. At the time that it went up on there it was very timely, but of course the One-Shots get released publicly a month after the fact, so it’s a bit late for Halloween now. I think the picture’s still cute, though, and hopefully you guys can enjoy it even if it’s no longer the spookiest time of the year.
For my Halloween pic this year, I’m introducing two new characters in the ghost girls you all saw before. I didn’t want to completely leave out all of my other spooky OC ladies, though, so I’m doing this pic of Sophia Huesos that’ll post publicly on November 2nd for Día de los Muertos (since that’s the source of her inspiration, anyway). This is the first time I’ve ever drawn Sophia’s breasts, since they were covered up in her previous two appearances, and I want to thank Anya Lykke for the idea to give her spider web designs around her nipples.
Here’s Killua’s second Character Ask. I was pretty happy with this one, despite it not being very risque visually. Since I knew I wasn’t going to have Killua doing much for this answer, I decided to try dressing him in a different outfit (one he wears briefly in the anime) that I thought was super cute.
So for the past three years I’ve done these little Halloween pics with original characters. The original formula was to start with two characters (Lillian L’Orange and Adeline Fortuna), then add a new character each year. So I did a pic with those two, then the next year I did a pic of the two of them with Sophia Huesos, and then last year all three of them were in a foursome with Kamas Hat-hor-het-aei. That got to be too much work, however, so this year I decided to do something different. I will still draw the other girls sometimes, hopefully, but for now I decided to introduce two cute new ghost girls instead.
The girl on the left with the black hair is named Hamano Michiyo. Normally her hair would cover her eyes, but I wanted to show her eye here in this pic. The girl on the right with the blue ponytail is named Yamashita Yumi. She was originally a character in my fantasy comic Eromugen, but I never got to the chapters she was going to be in, so I’m re-purposing her here as one of Lilian’s spooky gals.
The first picture is the “official” version, but I’ve also done three variants this year. One is just this image without the orange text, one is the image without the girls being transparent, and one is the same thing but also without the cum everywhere. I wanna thank by friend Anya Lykke for the idea of a ghost girl bukkake where she’s more visible under the cum. I took that idea in my own direction, but I wouldn’t have thought of this concept on my own.
