Near Hentai Monthly Lady

Morrigan Aensland NHML

So here’s the Near Hentai Monthly Lady for November 2019, Morrigan Aensland of Darkstalkers! Morrigan’s one of those characters I feel people know more through porn than her actual game, though that might just be my perception. I know in the early days of online hentai there was quite a bit of Morrigan stuff out there, more than you’d expect from the popularity of Darkstalkers. I did play Darkstalkers as a kid, and was pretty fond of it. Morrigan wasn’t my girl of choice, but she is a fun, sexy character. Of course I had to pair her with Lilith, the other Succubus from these games (and I thought her sister, but looking into it I might have been wrong about that?).

With this post, NHML nominations for the month of December are now open. For those who don’t know, I’ll run down the rules real quick. Nominations are limited to one per person. You can nominate any female character you want, provided I have not drawn her within the past calendar year (though I prefer characters I’ve never drawn, period). Previous NHML winners are not eligible for a second time. Nominees must also not be from the same franchise as this month’s winner, Darkstalkers. If you violate any of those rules, I’ll let you know, and you can nominate someone else. I know it can be hard to keep track of these things. You may nominate by either commenting in the cBox, commenting on this post, or emailing me (Nearphotison2010@yahoo.com). I’ll compile a list of the nominees in the sidebar of this site, and then on December 1st I will use a randomizer to select the winning character who I will proceed to draw sometime that month. I look forward to seeing who you all nominate this time around!

Noelle Silva NHML

So, here’s the story with this pic. I’d originally planned to have Asta and Yuno double teaming Noelle here. While I was working on it, though, I was suddenly uncertain if Noelle even knows Yuno? I only have the first seven or so episodes downloaded, and I’ve only skimmed them, never watched properly, but it seems like Asta and Yuno might be split up after they leave the orphanage? Anyway, looking back at the episodes I had I kinda felt like Noelle’s circle of relationships might not include Yuno (maybe it does later, I don’t know), but rather than cut him out and change the pic entirely, I just changed what little of his head was visible to make him a character named Magna Swing. I don’t know much about him, but in the opening Noelle is riding some kind of dragon thing sandwiched between him and Asta and, well… I saw parallels between that and this pic so he got the spot. Anyway, sorry if my lack of knowledge about Black Clover has ruined this pic for anyone, but I wasn’t prepared to spend more time debating this matter with myself than I already had. At least early on in the series these three seem like a bit of a team, so here we are.

While looking for a replacement cock I did find a cute witch character I liked as a potential partner for Noelle. The Black Clover Wiki describes their friendship in a way that makes me think they’d be good together, but of course by then I’d already committed to using male characters. I don’t have any specific plans to draw Black Clover again, but if I do it might be Noelle x Vanessa.

With this post, NHML nominations for the month of November are now open. For those who don’t know, I’ll run down the rules real quick. Nominations are limited to one per person. Penumbra NHML

So this is Penelope Numan Braxton, a.k.a. Penumbra, the winner of September’s Near Hentai Monthly Lady raffle. Penumbra is a super villain in the series Villainous, a woman who was afflicted with a condition that makes it impossible to go into the sun. Her episode of Villainous focuses on the main characters helping capture her arch-rival, the jerky super hero jock Sublast. Penumbra not only wants Sunblast to stop beating her up and breaking her sun-blocking machines, but also wants him captured because she believes his powers might be the key to curing her condition. Spoiler warning, though, Demencia eats Sunblast after he’s been shrunken down, like a frog with a fly. In the episode Penumbra is fooled by a simple light bulb replacement in the jar, though one has to assume she’d eventually realize the light bulb isn’t a dude. The premise for this pic is basically that, is a customer relations move, Black Hat has Demencia repay Penumbra as best she can. This was a good excuse to use Demencia again, my favorite character in the show, but also was a good alternative to any of the guys being her partner here (I disliked each of the potential pairings for different reasons). This marks the second time I’ve had two NHML winners paired together, I believe (the first one actually hasn’t gone public yet, but the NHML always gets bumped to the front of the line), though it is the first time I’ve done so in an NHML entry, haha.

With this post, NHML nominations for the month of October are now open. For those who don’t know, I’ll run down the rules real quick. Nominations are limited to one per person. You can nominate any female character you want, provided I have not drawn her within the past calendar year (though I prefer characters I’ve never drawn, period). Previous NHML winners are not eligible for a second time. Nominees must also not be from the same franchise as this month’s winner, Villainous. Nomura NHML

So here’s the winner of August’s Near Hentai Monthly Lady raffle, Nomura from Tales of Arcadia: Trollhunters. She’s a bit more of an unorthodox pick than some of our previous winners, but having watched the show I am pretty fond of her and had fun working on this pic. She’s got two main guys I can see pairing her with, one is the hero Jim (pictured here, as the main character he’s easy to pair with most of the characters in the show), and the other is Draal, another troll like her with some un-explored past (it’s implied they used to be together). I went with the human hero character for this pic, mostly just ’cause I thought it’d be more fun to pair a scary monster lady with a human boy than an even bigger, scarier monster guy. Nomura’s got a human form, too (the NHML nomination specified her troll form), which I’d like to draw some day. Probably with Jim again.
“Little Gynt” is a nickname she gives Jim after (spoilers) warming up to him later in the series. It’s a reference to the play Peer Gynt, which is her favorite.

Himiko Toga NHML

The Near Hentai Monthly Lady for July 2019 is Himiko Toga. Toga’s been nominated a few times in the past, but this ended up being her month. Part of why I hadn’t drawn her before (besides not being terribly fond of her design) is that I really didn’t have many ideas for her. Since I had to draw her, though, I decided to pair her up with one boy and one girl from the people we’ve seen her crush on/flirt with, and Midoriya and Uraraka both seemed like fine choices. Himiko herself definitely seems happy with how things turned out.

Lily Aquaria NHML

The Near Hentai Monthly Lady for June of 2019 is Sister Lily Aquaria of Black Clover. I never watched Black Clover, but I have a passing familiarity with the franchise. My understanding is Sister Lily is sort of like an Aunt Mito figure in the show, with her representing the main character Asta’s starting point (I think there’s even some episodes where he sends letters back to her and the orphanage, like Gon does with Mito). She works at the orphanage he and Yuno grew up in, and ever since he was a very young boy he constantly has harassed her to marry him (she always says “no”). Their exchange here is loosely based on some dialogue they have together in the first episode, though there’s a number of scenes where we see him propose and get turned down. Since she’s a nun and has sworn a sacred oath, I went anal for this pic as a loophole. Hope you all like the pic. ^_^

Ikumi Mito NHML

So I watched Food Wars a while ago, and found myself liking it a lot more than I’d expected to. Similarly, I thought Nikumi here would be just eye candy without much character, but she ended up being one of my favorite characters in the whole series (but also eye candy, Food Wars isn’t shy about fanservice).I thought I’d do a lot of Food Wars stuff while I was watching it, but that ended up not happening for one reason or another. I get a second chance now that Nikumi (Soma’s nickname for Ikumi Mito) won the NHML raffle this month. I actually did a handful of sketches of these two together, since I had some old interest in them kicked up again. No promises, but there’s a chance one or two of those might end up fleshed out a bit for future pics (or I might forget about Food Wars altogether again, who knows). Anyway, I picked this one to use for the NHML since it showed off the most of Nimumi’s body, I think, and I hope you all like it.

Towa NHML

So the Near Hentai Monthly Lady for April 2019 is Towa, the antagonist of the Dragon Ball Xenoverse games. I never really had plans to draw her, personally, but now here she is thanks to the NHML raffle. 😛 I had several ideas as for who to pair her with, but none of them were really grabbing me. Eventually I decided to pair her with Chronoa, the Supreme Kai of Time, in a sort of “villain dommes hero” pic, which is usually fun. I actually started a Chronoa/Trunks pic the same week the first Xenoverse game came out in, but I wasn’t happy with it and eventually scrapped that pic. The good news is she gets to show up here, making this pic a double-Dragon Ball debut in Near Hentai. ^_^

With this post, NHML nominations for the month of May are now open. For those who don’t know, I’ll run down the rules real quick. Nominations are limited to one per person, and if I catch anyone trying to do multiple nominations by changing their names I will remove all of that person’s nominations. You can nominate any female character you want, provided I have not drawn her within the past calendar year (though I prefer characters I’ve never drawn, period). Previous NHML winners are not eligible for a second time. Nominees must also not be from the same franchise as this month’s winner, Dragon Ball (any incarnation). If you violate any of those rules, I’ll let you know, and you can nominate someone else. I know it can be hard to keep track of these things. You may nominate by either commenting in the cBox, commenting on this post, or emailing me (Nearphotison2010@yahoo.com). Azura NHML

I went back and forth on a few ideas for what to do with our Near Hentai Monthly Lady this month. I’ve never played any Fire Emblem, so I didn’t really know her. At first I thought I’d do a solo pic, but when I saw she was the co-star of the game Corrin is from (who I know from Smash Bros.), I decided it’d be more fun to pair them up. I went with the lady version of Corrin, and used this pose I’ve had saved for quite a while. I ended up getting a little carried away and the pic turned out more complex than I’d originally intended, but I don’t think that’ll be a big problem. I wanted to use water ropes to bind Corrin at first, but then I couldn’t find any evidence that Azura’s abilities would actually allow that… so I played it safe and used boring old rope ropes. ^_^ I haven’t done much bondage type stuff (though I have dabbled here and there), so I relied pretty heavily on my reference material (some of the knots even ended up just being traced to try and keep them accurate). Hopefully you all can enjoy this pic I put a lot of time into even if you’re like me and barely know these characters.

With this post, NHML nominations for the month of April are now open. For those who don’t know, I’ll run down the rules real quick. Minnie Mouse NHML

Minnie Mouse won my Near Hentai Monthly Lady raffle this month, and she’s a fairly unorthodox candidate. Obviously I enjoy some Minnie porn, since I went through the trouble to color a whole comic about her not long ago, but I know that not everyone is on board with me about that, haha. I thought one way to make this pic have a broader appeal, and also make it a bit more topical (with the recent release of Kingdom Hearts 3) would be to pair her with Sora. I don’t know if this specific pairing has been done before, but I’m into it. I have a thing for human/furry pairings, and Minnie being a queen in this continuity also adds an extra level of intrigue for me. For her design I used a couple different elements from her appearances to make a compromise (I like the little tuft of hair she has in Dream Drop Distance, but I also prefer the mouse ears crown from the first Kingdom Hearts, for instance), trying my best to make the cutest Minnie I could. I hope you all enjoy her, or at least Sora if she’s not your type. ^_^;
