Here’s the Near Hentai Monthly Lady for July 2020, Rika Shinozaki from Sword Art Online. I’ve only seen a handful of episodes of this show, so I don’t know much about the characters beyond having seen them in some AMVs. I do know these characters all have multiple appearances, due to the series’ premise of taking place in VRMMORPGs. These designs are from the second big game they play (as far as I can tell), because looking into Rika it seemed like she had some connection with the other two (Suguha and Keiko). It’s possible the nomination was meant to be for Rika’s real life design, I can’t say, since this version is a character she plays named Lisbeth… I just think these designs are more interesting, since even though every character in this show looks like a knockoff of a character from a better anime, the human designs all look like supporting characters from generic dating sims and interest me even less. ^_^;

With this post, NHML nominations for the month of August are now open. For those who don’t know, I’ll run down the rules real quick. Nominations are limited to one per person. You can nominate any female character you want, provided I have not drawn her within the past calendar year (though I prefer characters I’ve never drawn, period). Previous NHML winners are not eligible for a second time. Nominees must also not be from the same franchise as this month’s winner, Sword Art Online. If you violate any of those rules, I’ll let you know, and you can nominate someone else. I know it can be hard to keep track of these things. I’ll compile a list of the nominees in the sidebar of this site, and then on August 1st I will use a randomizer to select the winning character who I will proceed to draw sometime that month.
