I was considering this Ask at first purely just because I like Gamo-chan and haven’t drawn her in a bit. As I thought about it more, though, their dynamic fleshed out a bit in my mind. Kobeni does kind of naturally lend herself to being bullied, so it wasn’t hard to fit them together like this. I think this is a bit of an unconventional crossover, but I had fun pairing these two up.
It’s always tough writing for characters from shows I know nothing about. When I was looking up Sister Ivry clips on YouTube I saw comments where people were talking about being her pet… I don’t know if that’s a thing from the show or just normal internet thirsting, but I also saw a lot of shots of Rebecca with kitty ears and I drew my inspiration from there.
Not much to say about this Ask, I’m afraid. I just kind of thought it’d be a fun scene, and when I had Mako’s phrasing in mind it came together to something kind of cute, I hope.
When I saw this question, I immediately thought of Eda and her stated goal of working with popular Studio names to move up the ranks. I’ve already drawn her with Goku (and Goku Jr.), and I thought pairing her with Gohan would be fun.
Another simple, basic Ask, but one I hope some folks will enjoy.
This is a pretty basic one, I know, but I haven’t drawn Lucien and Loren in a while and I thought this might be a fun way to do something new with them.
I don’t know if I’ve addressed it before, but there’s been a bit of a pattern of me answering this type of Ask (pairing up “science” gals with other “science” gals) with this position. I thought it’d be fun to do the same with Hange, and Thomas Edison came to mind as someone who might be closer to Hange’s level than a lot of the sci-fi mad scientist characters in the Studio.
This is a pretty simple one, but I could hear Matt’s answer immediately and I thought it’d be fun to draw these two again. I guess I don’t have much to add beyond that, though, but I hope y’all enjoy seeing these brothers at it again.
So, there are a few ladies I theoretically could have paired Nanami up with here. However, given what a serious guy he is, I don’t really picture him just jumping into a relationship with someone in the Studio. Honestly I don’t even know if I can picture him having a fling or anything, either… When I imagine Nanami developing a relationship with someone, it’s over a long period of time, seeing them repeatedly, like with the bakery girl from his flashback in the series. So, no longer than he’s been here, nothing like that could’ve blossomed. I thought it’d be cute to hint at some possible future relationships for him, though, and I also figured fans of his wouldn’t mind getting a better look at his body while he goes over his daily routine.
I kind of had this funny idea for how to spin this Ask, I hope it comes across well. This is also a good excuse to draw Power’s super smart look, which I think is cute. Inosuke seemed like the perfect “student” for Power’s tutoring.
