This is a commission I recently completed of Bizarro raping Supergirl. There were a lot of little details to this pic, but I think that it turned out pretty good. The coloring here is done simplistically in an attempt to imitate a retro feel, since this is an older design for both Bizarro and Supergirl. I had also originally placed a filter over the image that made it look more old, but it had the unwanted side effect of darkening Bizarro’s skin and making the yellows a bit greener.
Here’s the final version of my previous post. I like how this turned out a lot, I tried a lot of new things with the execution here and I think they worked well. Hopefully I’ll be able to carry what I’ve learned working on this piece over into my future works. If so, you should start seeing a marked improvement in the content I put out.
This is an old, old pic I finally got around to coloring. I don’t remember what exactly inspired it, but I really like this one. I’ve been studying the soles of feet a lot, and I think you can see it in pics like this one. Enjoy!
The WWOEC Woman of the Month for July of 2012 is Madame Rouge of the Teen Titans animated series. I gotta say, I’m not really a fan of the character. Maybe it’s her angular design, or just the way her face was animated when she changed shape, but I always found her a bit too squicky to get off to. However, I try to do the WWOTM every month, and she was no exception. Hopefully the Madame Rouge fans out there will appreciate it, and forgive me for not having her stretching in the image (since I imagine that’d be a kink for most Rouge fans).
I really loved working on this pic, it provided a great opportunity to experiment with light sources and limited lighting. Whether my experimentation turned out good results is for you to decide, but I’m quite happy with it.
There was some confusion on my part in coloring this. You see, DTiberius always uses direct references for his backgrounds, and I knew from experience that I would be able to find this exact skyline somewhere in Batman: The Animated Series. Well, I re-watched the entire series, but couldn’t even find the Wayne building featured. I shrugged and used other building colors to do the skyline, only to later be informed by DT himself that the background here is from DCU Online, not the show that the characters are done in the style of. Well, we had a good laugh and I recolored it. Cool story, huh?
