So here is the first page of my new ben_10mil coloring project, “Traveling to Planet Namek”. This comic is pretty similar to another comic I colored a long time ago, but with a yaoi lean instead of a straight one. Below is the original page before I got my grubby hands on it.
I started this pic a while ago, but just now got around to finishing it. I’ve always liked both Maron and Bulma’s design in the Garlic, Jr. Saga, even if it’s a filler saga and many people consider it non-canon. I don’t have any specific ideas, but I would like to draw both again sometime soon, possibly in an all-girl pic with Chi-Chi.
I’m currently working on the next page of Sleepover Raid, plus two large-scale single image commissions that are taking a lot of time to work through. I will also likely be posting the first couple pages of a new commission comic, one I started a long time ago but is just now getting released. Hope you all will enjoy these pics when they come out!
Here’s the second pic of my Bijob series. Sorry this took so long, I know a number of you were looking forward to it, but this image went through several drafts before I settled on this one. I don’t know why, but I had a hard time getting an angle I was happy with. Truth be told, I’m still not crazy about it, but it’s definitely the best of the ones I turned out.
I wanted to do one with Android #18 and her twin brother, #17 from Dragonball Z. Once I had decided on them, it seemed natural to make the receiving guy (who may not always be a character from the property, but in this case is) Krillin, #18’s husband. We don’t see much of #17 after they marry, but it’s implied in GT (for those who consider it canon) that he lived in the woods after being revived by Shenron. I suppose it’s possible that between the Cell and Buu sagas he paid his sister and her husband a visit, though I can’t say I’m terribly worried about making this picture fit into continuity.
This was my first coloring project, which is why it’s one of the few times you’ll see me post a colorization here that I didn’t collaborate with the original artist on. Such a venture would have been impossible in this case, anyway.
Aim at Planet Namek! is an old doujin, one of the first I ever read. Here I not only splashed color onto it, but also reworked the dialogue to make it easier to read.
