I’m not super familiar with a lot of the post-Sun and Moon Pokémon, but Inteleon caught my eye. It might just be due to the default expression, but I like this design and thought it’d be a good fit for this series.
I decided to go with Butterfree for the next Near Pokédex entry, and decided to take something from the anime. Now, this color scheme is not Butterfree’s official colors, nor their shiny colors. It’s also not part of Butterfree’s sexual dimorphism (although female Butterfree do have slightly different wing patterns). Rather, this version of Butterfree comes from some early adaptational weirdness in the Pokémon anime. You see, in an early episode Ash’s Butterfree meets a girl and leaves him to go presumably have tons of butterfly sex. Since Pokémon was still new and didn’t have as much established rules, the creators just made the Butterfree pink so the audience would know Ash’s Butterfree wasn’t gay. This weird miscolored Butterfree has returned a few times since then, but as far as I know she’s the only one in the whole world with this coloring. Like with female Charizard’s bow, though, I wanted to take something from the anime for my entry, so here she is.
While I haven’t played many of the newer Pokémon games, I did play Pokémon Y and had fire starter for that game. Braixen seems to have become the most popular stage of that evolution line, even though I remember really liking Delphox. Braixen got the big push by being a main character in the anime, plus (if I remember correctly) a playable fighter in Pokken Tournament (which I only played a bit of). Anyway, I thought she’d make for a good Pokédex F entry here.
Here’s another Pokédex entry, this time with Zeraora. I’m not familiar with this Pokémon, personally, but it was recommended to me by a friend. I guess this one was introduced in the “Ultra” version of Sun and Moon, but I only played regular Moon. There’s also a movie focusing on this Mythical Pokémon. Being one of the more anthro-looking ones it was easy to adapt this design for the Pokédex, and I hope y’all will like him.
Weavile’s a relatively popular Pokémon to lewd, I think in part due to how their eyes are done. I figured it’d be a good one for the female Pokédex, so here she is.
Also, for anyone interested. here’s the Q&A video I did for Subscribers last month:
I’ve been suggested to do the “weed cat” for the Near Pokédex for a while now. Obviously a lot of anthropomorphizing of Sprigatito involved dressing it up like a stoner, but I haven’t generally gone that human with this series so far. Like all cat Pokémon, though, Sprigatito’s design is inherently pretty cute and works well for this series so here he is.
There’s still tons of first gen Pokémon, and while I’ll never get to all of them in this series I thought Rattata would be a good one to cross off my list. Rattata are some of the first Pokémon many people encountered, being one of the common smaller ones you’ll run into early in the original games. For that reason, in my head, this feels like an essential one to do for a project like this.
With this entry I believe all of the Gen 1 starts and their evolutions are covered on the female side of the Near Pokédex. Blastoise is one I’d been putting off ’cause I wasn’t sure how to handle the shell with how I wanted to draw her body, but I decided to do what I’ve seen some furry artists do and just treat the underside of her shell like skin. I think she turned out pretty good, and I hope y’all will enjoy her.
