WWOTM

August ’13 WWOTM – Minh Souphanousinphone

Minh Souphanousinphone of King of the Hill fame is the WWOEC Woman of the Month for August 2013. I’m not a big fan of Hing of the Hill for this kind of material, personally. I never understood how anyone could find any of the characters in that show attractive. That’s probably why I made no effort to emulate the show’s design in this pic, though I’m worried recognizability suffered as a result.

June ’13 WWOTM – Wendy Corduroy

The WWOEC Woman of the Month for June 2013 is Wendy Corduroy of Disney’s Gravity Falls. I’ve only seen the show a couple times, but I liked it when I did and may see more of it in the future. Seeing more of Wendy would certainly be an incentive for that.

I don’t feel particularly confident about this one, as I had to resize parts of her body in Photoshop after scanning my original sketch. I think I got everything pretty close, but I’m not sure. Hopefully Wendy fans will enjoy it nonetheless. I did, however, enjoy experimenting with the pattern of her shirt. Patterns on cloth is something I’ve only attempted a few times, and the flannel here was simple enough that I could practice without over-exerting myself.

May ’13 WWOTM – Eep Crood

The WWOEC Woman of the Month for May of 2013 is Eep of The Croods. I was really excited when her name came up, as I had actually nominated Eep myself not long ago. My original idea for this pic was much more ambitious, but I’ve spent about half this month traveling so I had to hurry it along for the sake of the deadline. I would definitely be interested in drawing more Eep in the future, potentially with Ugga (her mom). Even if she didn’t have Emma Stone’s sexy voice, I just love her design and I feel like this pic doesn’t quite do it justice. Hopefully I’ll be able to take a second crack at her soon.

January ’13 WWOTM – Sheila Sternwell

The WWOEC Woman of the Month for January 2013 is Sheila Sternwell, nominated by yours truly. I enjoyed Time Squad as a kid, though the show doesn’t hold up that well today, and I always liked Sheila. In a show with completely incompetent heroes, it’s nice to have a badass redhead to show that the rest of the Time Squad is at least good at what they do. Also, dem Hartman Hips.

October ’12 WWOTM – Ghost

Here’s the WWOEC Woman of the Month for October of 2012, Ghost. Ghost was nominated by my good friend Glassfish, whose work you can find scattered about on here whenever I’ve colored it.

I’m not terribly familiar with this character. The only Dark Horse series I’ve ever read was Hellboy, and even that was in small doses. I like her design, though, if only because I love chicks in hoods. I didn’t get too hardcore with this one, but I really like how it turned out. I kept the colors pretty soft and blue, and I’m real happy with the final result.

September ’12 WWOTM – Juliet Starling

So, here’s the thing. I’m not a fan of Juliet Starling. She’s okay, I guess, but her design is just so… how do I put this. Generic? Like, if you asked a random person on the street to draw you a cheerleader, they’d probably produce something damn close to Juliet Starling. Really, for me, the best thing going for her is Tara Strong’s voice. So when she was nominated as WWOEC Woman of the Month, my reaction was something along the lines of “Meh”. Then I went looking at the game, and realized that she had an incredibly hot older sister (Cordelia) and a pretty cute younger one, too (Rosalind). That’s when I decided on the material for this pic, and I got excited for it. That and, you know, zombies. Nothing sexier than a bunch of rotting corpses raping beautiful young women, am I right?
