WWOTM

June ’14 WWOTM – Garnet

Man, this month ended up going by a lot faster than I’d anticipated. I had a lot of works I wanted to finish in June, but real-life got in the way of most of them.

Luckily, I was able to finish this picture this month. The WWOEC Woman of the Month for June, 2014 is Garnet from Steven Universe. She was nominated by yours truly, and since I’ve been so into the show lately I had actually already been working on this. Since I like to contribute to the WWOTM even when I can’t nominate for next month, I put in the extra hours to make sure this was finished on time.

I’ve really come to enjoy Steven Universe since it came on. I love all three of the main girls, and I’d like to do pictures like this of Amethyst and Pearl some time. I also have a little comic planned, though it could be years before that ever sees the light of day.

May ’14 WWOTM – Rudi Wilson

The WWOEC Woman of the Month for May 2014 is Rudi Wilson from Hulu’s Mother Up! Since WWOEC is currently down (for how long, I do not know), I’m posting my contribution for the month here in case the site isn’t up again before June.

Rudi was nominate by Pandora’s Box, an artist you all have seen me color a few times in the past. Knowing PBX’s taste, I figured I had to go incest this month, and it wasn’t a hard decision to make when I saw how cute her daughter Apple is. So both Apple and Dick ended up in the pic, but I think I’d like to do a separate Mother Up! pic at some point in the future featuring the neighbor Sarah, who is by far my favorite part of the series.

Speaking of the show proper, I hadn’t heard of it before. I went in to watch a few episodes for this pic and, while I like a lot of the character designs and the animation is fine, it didn’t really click for me. I think Rudi is just too unlikeable for me to root for her, and she’s not funny enough for me to forgive her character flaws the way I would a Homer Simpson. Maybe these issues work out later in the series, but in the episodes I saw I couldn’t really enjoy myself.

Also, I’d like to say I had very little time this month to work on this, so I decided to do flat colors like the show has instead of my usual approach. I think it turned out okay, but I may upload a different version in the future (though don’t count on it). Enjoy!

April ’14 WWOTM – Ms. Frizzle

The WWOEC Woman of the Month for April 2014 is Ms. Valerie Felicity Frizzle, or “The Friz”, the teacher from the acclaimed Magic School Bus franchise. At the time I watched this show I was too young to be attracted to any of the characters, and I haven’t ever revisited it as an adult, so this is a character that wouldn’t have crossed my mind. I wasn’t sure if I’d ever find time to draw from this series again, so I opted to squeeze in all of the main cast in one pic. Originally they were all going to be ganging up on The Friz, but I lacked the skill necessary to pull that off. So, that’s why four of the kids are just off doing their own thing.

March ’14 WWOTM – Sarah Hawkins

The WWOEC Woman of the Month for March of 2014 is Sarah Hawkins, the mother from Treasure Planet. There were a lot of submissions this month focusing on the opening of the film, where Sarah is a bit younger telling a five-year-old Jim a story. I decided to go with the age of the characters from the “present” of the film, but I also went the mother/son route. I’ve been doing a lot more incest stuff lately, though frankly I’m surprised how long it took me to touch on the subject. It’s always been a favorite of mine, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see a lot more of it in the future, as well.

February ’14 WWOTM – Brenda Glover

The WWOEC Woman of the Month for February 2014 is Brenda Glover, from the Nick Jr. show “Little Bill”. I vaguely remember my kid sister watching this show back around the same time as Blues Clues and Dora the Explorer, but I had pretty much forgotten about it until it came up here. I’d certainly forgotten about the mom, and I doubt I would’ve ever drawn this picture if it weren’t for the WWOTM system.

I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do at first, but I decided to borrow a few concepts from Pandoras Box here. Things like putting them in an inflatable pool, or having the sister standing by with a camera, are all inspired by some of PBX’s work. Obviously my skill level isn’t there, but I think the final result is pretty satisfactory.

January ’14 WWOTM – Molotov Cocktease

The WWOEC Woman of the Month for January 2014 is Molotov Cocktease. I’m a big Venture Bros. fan, so this was fun for me. I found a pretty good reference for the boys and ran with it, and I think the end result is pretty satisfying. I wouldn’t mind revisiting this series again with future works, though Molotov would probably be pretty far back in the line as far as women I’d want to draw.

December ’13 WWOTM – LaBarbara Conrad

I somehow found the time to wrap up my WWOEC Woman of the Month pic for December. I went through several ideas for this one, including an incest pic with her son and something involving limbo. In the end I went this route, mainly because I needed to keep it simple in order to complete it on time with all the Christmas fuss distracting me.

Originally Barbados wasn’t in this pic. My reference pic and my original sketch neither showed the guy’s face. However, after realizing how shocked LaBarbara looked (my intent had been moaning, but she looked shocked to me after I inked it), I decided to add the infidelity angle to pull it together. I think a negative side effect of that decision was Barbados’ body not lining up perfectly with his head, but I tweaked the lines some and I don’t think it’s distracting.

I was really concerned when I started this that I wouldn’t be able to adapt the Futurama/Simpsons style well. I’ve always found porn of those shows very subjective, and I think only very talented artists can successfully pull the style off and keep the picture sexy. While I don’t feel I completely nailed it here, I think I did well enough that I’d be comfortable doing other Futurama or Simpsons work in the future. I definitely think there are a few characters I’d like to draw, so if I find the time I may do that.

November ’13 WWOTM – Rapunzel

The WWOEC Woman of the Month for November 2013 is Rapunzel from Disney’s Tangled. I loved Tangled, quite a bit, and Rapunzel’s depiction in it was part of why. Originally I had only planned to do one pic (it would’ve been the middle one), but then I decided it would be easy to do a glowy hair one. I wanted to show short-haired Rapunzel some love, too, so I found a similar picture (there are millions of pics with nearly this exact same pose, it’s crazy) and imitated the rope pattern to create the third pic.

I wish I could say I drew that background, but it’s taken from the movie. I did re-create the image over the screenshot to make it look more like the foreground, but that’s all I can take credit for there.

I tried a very different approach to this one in general, taking a few cues from mainstream porn sites like Taboolicious. I don’t think I’m particularly suited for this style, but it was a fun experiment and I’m happy with the end result.

October ’13 WWOTM – Princess Peach

The WWOEC Woman of the Month for October, 2013 is Princess Peach of the Mario franchise. I’ve always really liked Peach, and I’m not sure exactly why. I mean yeah, she’s cute, but she doesn’t seem to have much more going for her on the surface. Maybe it’s just how she manages to be so super-feminine while still sounding like a guy trying to impersonate a girl. I can’t really put my finger on it, but I’d like to do more with Peach in the future.

September ’13 WWOTM – Helen Morgendorffer

The WWOEC Woman of the Month for September 2013 is Helen Morgendorffer, the mom from Daria. I never watched Daria, so I don’t know these characters. However, visiting the Daria Wiki got me thinking that I’d like to do what I did for Linda Flynn on her month and pair Helen up with her daughters.

I love mother/daughter incest. It’s a shame it seems to be the least common incestuous pairing I come across.
