So I left the decision about who should star in the next MomSwap up to my supporters, and they voted for Penny and Trudy of the Proud Family. I was pretty happy with this choice, as I’d been meaning to canonize them in this series for a while. Trudy was a big crush of mine when I was younger, and Penny ain’t half-bad herself, so they had to show up here sooner or later. When working on this pic I thought maybe I should do more with Proud Family characters in the future, but who knows. It’d be fun, though.
I have a few regrets about this one, namely that I didn’t take into account the fetishes exhibited by these characters in canon when drawing it. It wasn’t until I added the bio info for the app (at which point this was drawn, inked, and about halfway colored) that it occurred to me Hayley should have Francine tied up in some fashion and spanking her… Oh well.
That aside, I’m surprisingly pretty happy with this. I struggled a lot finding a middle-ground between the show’s style and my own, but it was important to me that the characters be able to fit in to some degree with the others from this series (in case I end up drawing them “swapping” with another mother/daughter couple). I wasn’t really happy with how this looked until I got it colored, though, which is when it seemed to come together a bit better. Hopefully y’all can enjoy it. 🙂
So this is the last Dragon Ball GT entry for the MomSwap series, Android 18 with her daughter Marron. I tried to space out the DBGT entries a bit so they wouldn’t be all grouped together, but I know some folks have been waiting for this entry since I first started the series. This one went a lot faster than I originally thought it would… I’ve just been in a MomSwap mood lately. The next entry may come along quickly, too. We’ll see.
It’s been a minute since the last MomSwap entry, so I decided to finish this one I’ve had sitting sketched out for a month or two. I mentioned at the start that all of the eligible girls from Sleepover Raid would be appearing in this series, and Violet and her mom were of course not exempt from that statement. Their relationship in this universe is a bit healthier than their one in the Xoverse, but Violet still can’t get enough of her mom’s ass. She’s using MomSwap in hopes of finding another girl with the same tastes (and shapely mom) as herself.
So last month for Christmas I did a picture from the film “Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer”. I mentioned when I did that I wanted to do Jake Spankenheimer’s mother and sister sometime for MomSwap and, well… it ended up happening faster than I thought.
I don’t know what it is about the characters of this film that draws me to them. The movie is pretty bad, I can’t even pretend I’m a fan of it, but the style emulates other, better works in a way that leads to pretty attractive character designs. While working on both that other pic and this one I found myself tempted to even draw some of the unnamed supporting cast. Cousin Mel from the other pic has an uncanny resemblance to Daphne Blake, while this picture’s Daphne looks like a blonde Melody from “The Little Mermaid II”. It’s probably just these familiar elements, but I wouldn’t be completely surprised if I draw this movie’s characters again.
Anyway, Daphne and her mother here don’t play a huge part in the film, but they both had pretty good designs and I like the idea of having some obscure characters in the MomSwap series. They won’t be the last ones, either, as I have a pretty damn long list of pairings I think could work in this series. These two aren’t even the most obscure ones, though there’s plenty of main stream mother/daughter couples left to feature as well.
I mentioned before that I had three Dragon Ball pairings lined up for MomSwap. I already did Pan and Videl, and now here’s the second pairing, Bra and Bulma. Of all the makeovers the Dragon Ball women got in GT, I think Bulma’s is one of the few I really like. Chi-Chi and Videl both turned out less interesting than they were in Z, and 18 was so-so, but Bulma’s GT design was pretty sexy in my book.
I went back and forth on which names to use here. If I was going for accuracy, I would’ve gone with “Bulla and Bulma Brief”. However, I can’t seem to shake the names I’m most familiar with, and so I stuck with the versions that are familiar to me. I’m not a purist.
So I finally got around to finishing a new MomSwap entry. I wanted to do a different type of source material than what I’ve been using for the series, so I did Lila Test and her twin daughters Susan and Mary from the show Johnny Test. I don’t really care for the show at all, but these characters are cute and I wanted a more Western-style show in the rotation (though there will be others). I tried to find a balance between the very 2D style of the show and my own style, hopefully it turned out well. Drawing Western cartoons has always been a struggle for me, but I think I’m getting better with it.
For the next MomSwap I decided to go with something a bit less mainstream. WataMote (also known by the more cumbersome title of “Watashi ga Motenai no wa Dō Kangaetemo Omaera ga Warui!”, or “No Matter How I Look at It, It’s You Guys’ Fault I’m Not Popular!”) isn’t exactly an obscure anime, but I think it’s probably less well-known than the other franchises I’ve featured in this series so far. The show focuses on Tomoko Kuroki, the daughter in this pic, who is a neurotic otaku with zero social skills. She’s an easy character to relate to.
Her mother doesn’t play a huge role in the series, so she never got a first name to my knowledge. However, I always thought she had a real cute MILFy design, and I wanted to do a pic of the two of them long before I ever thought up the MomSwap app concept. I’d like to do more WataMote pics in the future, sort of like what I was doing with Squid Girl. I had a lot of ideas while watching the show, though those of you who’ve seen it will know it has plenty of ecchi material already. While it doesn’t get too graphic, there’s scenes of Tomoko peaking at other girls’ panties, contemplating groping/molesting her busy best friend, and she even makes a beautiful ahegao face in the ending credits.
I wanted to do some MomSwap entries with Dragon Ball, since it’s the most popular franchise for me to do around here. The only problem is, to do Mother/Daughter pairings in DB you basically have to go with DBGT (there’s Bulma and her mom, but I prefer for Bulma to be the mother in this case). So, I have three DBGT entries planned for MomSwap, though the other two won’t be the next entries. I’ll do them at some point, just not sure when.
Here’s the second entry in the MomSwap series, this time featuring Pokémon’s Dawn and Johanna. Obviously the world of Pokémon is a very different one than the world of Coraline, or any of the other franchises that’ll be popping up on this app, but in this setting the characters live their lives in a more mundane setting. I’m sure in this setting they have a pet cat that vaguely resembles a Glameow. 😉
I tried looking everywhere to see if Dawn has an official last name listed anywhere. I found lots of names that sounded plausible, but no official source for any of them, so I figured Dawn and her mom must’ve just decided not to use last names when they signed up for the app.
I wasn’t planning to do another MomSwap so soon, but I needed a simple pic to help me keep my sanity while I drew people kissing. So, when I needed a break from those commissions, I worked on this on the side and it ended up getting done a lot faster than I’d expected. Not sure when another MomSwap entry will come along, but I’d like to do a new Pokédex entry before then.
