So I’ve gotten this question a few times, but never gotten around to it for one reason or another (I also believe multiple different supporters have asked it, though I can’t be certain on that). The original version was phrased something like, “Vegeta, after seeing how well Goku’s training paid off for Gohan, have you tried the same thing with Trunks?” My problem was I really couldn’t justify Vegeta knowing about how Goku and Gohan trained in “Special Training”. It just didn’t seem like info he would have. I was finally ready to just answer this and get it over with by having Vegeta express this confusion, but then it hit me that it’d be funnier (and also more satisfying) if he didn’t know Goku’s training, but also just happened to be in the middle of that same training with Trunks anyway. I can’t be certain if this supporter was hoping for kid Trunks or future Trunks, but I went with the kid here because I’d already planned to draw these two together eventually anyway. I’m still not 100% certain how I want to handle Vegeta and future Trunks’ relationship, and would rather leave that in the hands of Goku’s imagination for the time being.
