Here is the eighth page of Closing Time! Now that Tiana’s got Nanami back in form, he’s ready to go back into her ass for a final run.
I decided to do a couple pics based off the year-end awards I posted about on Twitter. Some dedicated Subscribers on my Discord figured out which characters I drew the most (among other things) in 2023, and I decided to pair up some of the winners for fun.
Vegeta’s the male character I drew the most, thanks largely to appearing in two ongoing comics (alongside his female counterpart), along with a number of Asks and such. Nanami is the Male Newcomer of the Year, in that he had the most appearances for a character who debuted in 2023. This was also largely thanks to a comic, one which hadn’t even had its first page go public when I announced the winners. That might have made his win confusing for people who only follow the public releases. There’ll be a similar pic for the top women soon.
The second pic features the most frequently-appearing female performer from 2023 (Android 18) with the top newcomer (Makima). 18 got in similarly to Vegeta, with both appearing in ongoing comics a lot last year, while Makima got her numbers boosted through a mix of Beach Treat and her recurring pics with Denji.
And here’s our seventh page. Tiana uses her feet to get Nanami back in shape.
In the previous page, Nanami was planning to really give Tiana the business. It seems like maybe he bit off a bit more than he can chew, however, but Nanami’s prepared to make things right and finish properly in the second round.

Here’s the second page of “Closing Time”! Since this project’s so simple, there’s not much to say here. I felt some folks would want a little bit of hair-pulling, with Nanami being paired with someone with a ponytail, but don’t expect it to get much more extreme than this.
So “Closing Time” is a smallish comic project I’m trying out. The idea is to use a simpler approach to the paneling based on some other short comics I’ve seen around, which I’m hoping will make it possible to do comics that are longer/more substantial than One-Shots, but not take years like my full ongoing comics. To try this out I’m using a somewhat popular crossover crack ship I’ve seen between Tiana and Nanami, which I alluded to a while back in Nanami’s first Character Ask. Using that Ask as a set-up, I thought it’d be fun to see them together here in this format. I’m expecting this comic to run 6-8 pages, though I might end up trimming it shorter if I can. We’ll see.
This is just a simple little pic based on a scene a lot people liked in the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen. Haruta is a character I immediately took interest in when he first appeared in season one ’cause he had a cute design, but kinda like Mahito I quickly lost interest as I got to know him better. By the time he runs into Nanami the conflict leads to a really satisfying scene, as well as a good excuse to use Haruta in a way I don’t mind for this pic.
