Perhaps moreso than any other “why not both” answer, I really can’t picture Gojo having a real preference here. I wanted his partners to be a guy and gal associated with each other, and while I considered a few different pairs, I think MHA and JJK crossovers are kinda fun. I realized I hadn’t really used Ashido in a bit and her working with Kirishima for a role like this sounded fun.

I agree with you, Near. I can’t imagine Gojo carrying either, and his partners wonderfully complete the moment. I hope it gets expanded on in the future.
It was great to see Ashido and Kirishima having fun with Gojo, and I don’t mean that as a compliment, but I like it because that’s what his work creates.
