While I’m pretty sure Chris’s whole family gets more involved with the Mobians deeper into Sonic X, I don’t really remember that stretch of the show as well as the earlier episodes where they’re a secret. Regardless, I’m sure in the Studio Lindsey could take a little time to explore her son’s special interest.
