I don’t remember what got me wanting to draw this, but I’ve always liked Genkai and I thought pairing her with Yusuke would be fun. These two have a fun dynamic in the show, and I wanted to play into it a little bit. I know Genkai’s younger form had some fans back when this show was popular, but I wanted to draw her normal look first since she doesn’t get as much love when she’s older.
I don’t actually know how much Kaori and Ryo’s tastes would overlap. Pretty much every episode of City Hunter has Ryo obsessing over some new beautiful woman tied to that episode’s case, but I think the only consistent element to these women is that they’re all conventionally attractive. I thought pairing Kaori with a new girl in the Studio would be fun, though, and I kind of just leaned into how I felt she’d feel about the comparison, rather than analyzing any actual similarities. I went with Machi, since I haven’t drawn her for a bit and I felt she’d be a nice fit (also there’s probably some kind of pun in the names of their respective properties). Kaori’s had a pretty good spread of female partners in Asks so far, though I would like to draw her with some of the ladies from her own show eventually (Saeko in particular).

The question didn’t call for it, but I thought it’d highlight the power dynamic to use Zenitsu’s somewhat disappointing crossdressing “Zenko” look for this Ask. Usually anime where they have boys crossdress for a short period are the point where some characters catch my eye for the first time (a recent example being Tadano), but Demon Slayer seemed to go out of its way to keep anyone from accidentally being attracted to the boys in their disguises. Nonetheless, I thought Zenitsu obediently sucking Inosuke’s balls would be kinda fun; I hope y’all agree.
It took longer than I’d originally expected, but I finally got around to the second pic of this series. I still have a few puppy Himiko sketches I wanna ink and color, so there’ll be more, but they might be spread out as well. We’ll see!
I watched a lot of Goof Troop when I was younger, including the movies. I like Sylvia a lot, and I couldn’t decide on which of her main looks I wanted to feature for this NHML pic. In the end I decided to have my cake and eat it two with a split-screen double feature. As a result, we get naughty librarian Sylvia as well as disco queen Sylvia, I hope y’all enjoy them both!
With this post, NHML nominations for the month of January are now open. For those who don’t know, I’ll run down the rules real quick. Nominations are limited to one per person. You can nominate any female character you want, provided I have not drawn her within the past calendar year (though I prefer characters I’ve never drawn, period). When I first was introduced to Galaxy High years ago, this character caught my eye. I think she’s incredibly cute, and I really liked what I saw of her in the cartoon. Judging from how my Discord reacted, I’m guessing not everyone sees her the same way I do, but I’ve been wanting to draw her since 2015 and decided to just do it. I figured a simple pin-up would be good enough for now, maybe she’ll get to reappear later, maybe not. Regardless, I hope at least a few of you like her.
He might be on the straight and narrow, but not *too* straight. I don’t know for sure where this Subscriber’s mind went with this question, it’s possible they were looking for Robin Hood on Bulma action, but him getting familiar with Vegeta just sounded kinda fun to me. I thought about putting Robin Hood in his crossdressing disguise from the start of the movie, sort of like when Bugs Bunny got with Mirio, but I wasn’t sure how many people remembered that scene and nothing about the Ask suggested he should be crossdressing.
I suspect we’re nearing the end of this one. Several of the scripts submitted this time around were looking to squeeze a little more straight action in, which is what I went with for this page. I suspect we’ll see Ochaco getting some creampies in the next page, which will most likely be the last for this comic.
