Here’s the third page of ben_10mil’s comic “Surprise” colored. I decided to go a different route with the reveal of the second panel (as you can see below, the original version had little lightning bolts). I think the starburst here looks a bit better, and is also just funnier to me. Hopefully you guys like it, too.
So in early 2016 I had a commission client who wanted to purchase a few random manga pages to be colored. Even though this wasn’t exactly my normal style of commission, I agreed to, and the first was an Asuka/Shinji page from a doujin called ASUKA28. I colored it, and the client liked it so well that instead of doing the next page he had planned (which was from a completely different doujin) he asked me to do another page from ASUKA28. At the time he seemed very interested in getting the entire doujin colored, and so I sat on the two pages I had colored for a long time. However, I didn’t hear from him again, and even if I did I don’t know if I’d be able to take on a project like this again today. I just have too much else going on. I didn’t think it was worth keeping it squirreled away, so I decided to release the two pages I’d colored here for you guys. If you’re interested in checking out the full doujin, you can find it here: https://hitomi.la/galleries/764286.html (or just search for “Saigado ASUKA28” if you don’t like this host).
This page took longer than I expected due in large part to the position used. In most of the panels it wasn’t a factor, but a couple of them proved especially time consuming for me, and took multiple drafts to get to look right. Hopefully the final product was worth all the work. I know these pages come out slower than many of you would like, but I can assure you I’m doing my best to get them out as quickly as I can. Page eight is already under construction, though I’m sure it’ll be a while before it’s complete.
Here is the One-Shot comic page from October. At the time that it went up on there it was very timely, but of course the One-Shots get released publicly a month after the fact, so it’s a bit late for Halloween now. I think the picture’s still cute, though, and hopefully you guys can enjoy it even if it’s no longer the spookiest time of the year.
If you would like to see the original clip starring Alexa and Geizer that this is ripped from, you can find it here: http://fabsluts.com/videos/2816/fabsluts-alexa-geizer/.
It’s been a while since I posted a Ludibrio Chronicles page, so here’s the sixth page of Chapter One. Mostly I wanted to post this today to break up the Character Asks a bit… I’ve got a lot of them coming up, but I hate posting them on back-to-back days.
Towards the end of September I started brainstorming ideas for Halloween pics I could do this month. Hopefully several of these ideas will get to see the light of day, but of them the first that I started was this one. I hadn’t originally intended to do an Applebridge Snapshots episode with these two so soon, but once I had the idea I decided to run with it. Hope y’all like it.
So I’ve been mentioning for a while that I wanted to do a spin-off series of Mace ‘n Jackie, and here it is. It’s called “Applebridge Snapshots”, with Applebridge being the town Mace, Jackie, and everyone else in these comics lives in. While MnJ follows a pretty rigid formula, and will not stray from its straight shota roots, AS will be more open. Gay, straight, bi, lesbian, etc. are all possibilities for this series, and I wanted to showcase that by putting Mace in a very different situation than you’d normally see him in MnJ (though still being himself). Some of the cast of MnJ will show up in this series, but hopefully I’ll get the chance to do lots of stuff with other characters, too, like the futa/shota couple I shared here a couple days ago.
This is the first page of “Surprise!” a comic by ben_10mil. When I first posted this on the old blog I had a lot to say about it, but now I can’t remember it all. For this project I am inking, coloring, and providing an approximate translation from the original comic (posted below). For the translation I’m going for a more loose approach to try and keep the dialogue sounding natural, since just a direct translation from Spanish sounds a bit stilted or maybe even out of character.
