Himawari Uzumaki Character Ask 1

So, I don’t really like doing Asks with Boruto characters for a few reasons. One is the same reason I don’t like doing Naruto Asks, I don’t like the franchise or the art style and it’s unpleasant for me to draw it. However, even worse than Naruto, with Boruto I know nothing about the characters, their dynamics or how they think and talk, so writing answers for them is very much a guessing game. I wanted to throw the Naruto/Boruto fans who follow me a bone, though, so I took my best shot at answering this question with something fun, sexy and (to my best guess) in-character. Hope it turned out alright.

Hyūga Clan

So this is the second of two ancient Naruto commissions that I’ve decided to release now. This one caused me a lot of stress and anxiety at the time I made it, for a number of reasons, but now I’m releasing it in the hopes some of you might enjoy it. I’ve taken the liberty of editing out some of the more upsetting elements from the original image, so hopefully it’s a bit more palatable. I don’t really know much about the Hyūga clan dynamics or the implications that come with them, though, so I apologize if this one’s still upsetting for some people. At the time I drew this, I remember feeling like it was one of the best pics I’d done (even though I hated it), so I had a lot of mixed feelings at the time about not just this pic, but the fact that I wasn’t going to be able to release it. Now in 2020 it’s obviously far from my best work, but it’s my hope some of the people who keep asking about Naruto pics will be able to get something out of it.

Hanabi Watches

I’ve talked a bit about some of the old Naruto commissions I did back when I was still mostly doing art as a side thing. At the time they were a huge point of stress in my life for a number of reasons, and kind of permanently damaged my ability to interact with Naruto or its spin-offs/sequels/whatever. I’ve taken two of these commissions that never got released originally and decided to go ahead and share them. This is the first of them, which features Hanabi watching her sister get fucked by Sasuke. This commission wasn’t too problematic for me like some of the others from this era, but it was still pretty unpleasant to create what was (at the time) one of my better pics and not be able to release it. I’m not an expert on this franchise by any means, but I think these versions of the characters may be from one of the movies (but I could also be misremembering, I don’t care enough to look it up). Anyway, I’ll release the other pic I’ve decided I can some time later.

Monkey D. Luffy Character Ask 9

I almost passed over this Ask, just because I didn’t like the assertion that Boruto is a “big fan” of Luffy. There’s nothing in my work that would lend credence to this, and I was under the impression it was just something that was made up to try and make a particular pairing happen. However, I knew plenty of people would be happy to see Boruto again, and since his dad had already been double-teamed by Luffy and Goku in a previous Ask I figured I had a fun enough way for Luffy to respond. So here we are. Later on I was told by one of my backers that there actually is some sort of gag about Boruto being a fan of Luffy in his own series, I guess? I wasn’t aware of it and didn’t see anything about it when I looked into it at the time, but I’d trust just about anyone’s knowledge about Boruto over my own.

I’m not crazy about Boruto, so it’s hard for me to say objectively how well this one turned out, but it’s a position and angle I’ve worked with before so I thought it’d be a nice one to try and get out while working on some larger projects. Character Asks Naruto

Naruto and Sasuke Character Ask 1

So this Ask isn’t really up my alley in any capacity, as you might have guessed. Beyond my normal issues with the Naruto franchise, I’m just not that interested in underwear? So this one was pretty boring to work on, but I know there are folks out there who do not feel that way. My hope is this will do something for those of you who like these characters and enjoy underwear. ^_^; It’s been a long time since I watched any of Naruto, but I tried to get what I could remember of their personalities across in the answer. Honestly, the writing part is the hardest part of these “ogle” Asks (to borrow Naruto’s description of them). It’s easy enough to just draw the character (naked or otherwise) standing around to be ogled, but there’s only so much I can do with the answer portion. I do feel like they need to say something, but just saying “Okay!” or “Like this?” or whatever isn’t super interesting. Once I started writing Naruto, though, he didn’t seem to want to shut up, so I ended up with a bit wordier of a response than I’d originally intended (though far from the wordiest).

Camp Buddy Character Asks Crossover Naruto

Yoichi Yukimura Character Ask 1

I couldn’t really, like, illustrate an answer to both of the questions here… Plus I just didn’t have any ideas I was happy with for the part about Hiro, which is why Yoichi mentions Hiro making new friends in the studio. For all the Camp Buddy boys, I have some ideas for similar characters they might get along with (like Kiba, here, who shares Yoichi’s passion for dogs). I think looking to shared interests is probably better than trying to match people based on having a similar personality, since I feel like people who are too similar tend to butt heads. If I was gonna pair him with someone who has a similar personality, I probably would’ve used Bakugou, but picturing them hanging out, it just seemed like they’d fight all the time. I feel like personalities like theirs need a calming presence (Kirishima for Bakugoi, Keitaro for Yoichi), and that dynamic works better.
I also felt Yoichi would have to have a nickname for Kiba. I dunno if “triangle-face” is what he’d use (I don’t like that it’s a bit too similar to torch-head), but I felt it would have to be about the markings on his face, and that was the best I could come up with. ^_^;

Character Asks Crossover Dragon Ball Naruto One Piece

Goku and Luffy Character Ask 1

I had a bit of trouble with this Ask, not just because of Naruto’s presence (I’ll get into why he’s there in a bit), but also because I’ve had some recent troubles that have soured my opinion on Luffy. I had a lot of emotional difficulty getting through this, but I’d already settled on the idea and wanted to get it out.
So I knew the visual I wanted for this one almost immediately. Goku and Luffy double teaming a boy from some other series was obvious, and Naruto seemed fitting. On top of my continuing effort to ease my way back into being able to draw characters from his series comfortably, I think he’s appropriate in a sort of Jump Force reunion sort of way. Hopefully fans of these series (or even one or two of these series) will enjoy seeing these three main characters paired up like this. The difficult part was figuring out what I’d have them say, since there’s not much to talk about here…. hence them basically saying nothing. Oops.
