It took way longer than I’d planned, but here’s (finally) page seven of Titans Tower Nights. I’d planned to do another page or two of this comic on this rotation, but with how long this one ended up taking I feel like maybe it’s a sign to move on for now. So we’ll put this one back on the shelf for now, and move on to Space Emperor Slut as soon as I can find the time to work on it.
It’s time finally for Titans Tower Nights to return in my comic rotation! I’ll be doing a few pages of this comic, but it won’t conclude on this rotation. Not too much to say about this page specifically, other than I’m happy with how it turned out. Raven’s gonna get some good dickin’ in the next page.
So, New Year’s may be past (especially by the time this post will go public), but a subscriber commissioned this little pic to commemorate the start of 2021. They wanted to see three couples from the Teen Titans having fun, so we got Raven with Cyborg, Starfire with Robin, and Terra with Beast Boy. It’s been a very long time since I’ve done anything with Terra, but she seems to be enjoying herself alongside the other girls.
I mentioned before I’ve been in a good mood for Raven lately, so even though I just did a pic with her I decided to take on this Ask as the last from the December batch. I didn’t really see a good option for B.B. just picking from what was presented, though, and rather instead liked twisting the answer to Raven’s tastes. I think this approach fits their dynamic a bit better, personally.
I’ve been in a Raven kinda mood lately, so you might see a bit more of her from me in the near future (no pun intended). The first thing I wanted to do, though, was ink and color this older sketch from almost a year ago. I don’t remember why I started this one back then, but I always liked how the perspective turned out and made a point of wrapping it up, even though Raven’s less of the focus in this one.
Lots of people had this idea as soon as they saw a bunch of different Ravens in “Nevermore”, and I’m sure Beast Boy wouldn’t be any different. I knew what I wanted to do visually for this answer right away, but I had some trouble figuring out what Beast Boy would actually say. In the end I thought a reaction like this would be funny, so here we are. I used the yellow glasses Raven just ’cause she was the only one in the episode with a real visual distinction besides her colors, and then pink and grey ’cause I thought happy and sad would be a fun combo.
So this is a pic I sketched out around Halloween last year. I’d meant it to be something quick and fun I could work on between larger projects, but something else came up and I kept having to put it aside until I kinda forgot about it. I came across it recently and decided to go ahead and wrap it up, since I’ve been in a bit of a Raven mood anyway, so here it is!
So I didn’t really have a great answer for this one, I know, but honestly I’ve just been kinda itching to draw Raven again lately. I actually have a standalone pic in the works of her (pretty similar to this one, honestly, focused on her ass and feet), but due to other projects it’s just sitting in the work folder. No idea if I’ll ever get around to finishing that one, but for now I thought it’d be fun to do this Ask as an excuse to draw her. So, here she is, with a bonus Beast Boy to boot.
In the weeks approaching Mother’s Day, Raven found herself without any clue what to get her mother back in Azarath. Their relationship had been forever changed since she and Beast Boy had visited her a while back, but that only made her desire to get her mother something special even stronger. She had tried talking to Beast Boy about it, but he was predictably unhelpful. Then, with only a few days left before the maternal holiday, Raven and B.B. sat down for a movie night. They popped some popcorn and sat down to watch Requiem for a Dream, a movie Raven had been meaning to watch for a while, but Beast Boy had never heard of. They both had different reactions to the bulk of the film, but they clicked on one scene at the end. As Jennifer Connely found herself surrounded by screaming business men, throwing dollars onto her sticky, naked body, Raven looked over to Beast Boy. He looked back, a wry smile on his face as he’d had the same idea. Arella’s Mother’s Day gift was decided.
