This one’s a bit of an odd one, I know, but I wanted to do it anyway. The students in Galaxy High are largely teenage stereotypes turned into alien gimmicks. Gilda Gossip’s trait is, uh… gossiping, and they gave her a bunch of mouths she can talk out of to highlight this. I thought it’d be fun to see her do something a bit more interesting with her extra mouths. I’m far from the first to do something like this with her, of course, but I’m happy to have my take on the concept out there. I’m not completely sold on how it turned out, Gilda’s design is a little hard to translate nude, but I think it’s alright and I hope some of you will like it.
Last year I finished my ongoing series of Mace and Jackie’s Christmas Carol, so this year I was in search of something to replace it. I went through a few ideas, but none of them felt quite right, until I hit on this. A few years ago I had the idea of an ongoing comic set in a Studio orgy, basically jumping from place to place within the orgy without any real story or anything. I didn’t think the idea had the legs for a regular comic, but I’ve kind of reworked the concept here. So, every year for Christmas, I’d like to do a little montage comic like this one highlighting a few little scenes from that year’s Studio Christmas Party. I think this series could be fun, and I hope y’all will enjoy it. I started this one late because I was having trouble coming up with a concept, so once I had it I just drew the first few ideas I had. Unfortunately, none of them ended up being yaoi, but I’ll try to rectify that next year. In the meantime, please enjoy and Happy Holidays!
When I first was introduced to Galaxy High years ago, this character caught my eye. I think she’s incredibly cute, and I really liked what I saw of her in the cartoon. Judging from how my Discord reacted, I’m guessing not everyone sees her the same way I do, but I’ve been wanting to draw her since 2015 and decided to just do it. I figured a simple pin-up would be good enough for now, maybe she’ll get to reappear later, maybe not. Regardless, I hope at least a few of you like her.
I wanted to draw these two characters together for a while. Aimee Brightower is one of two protagonists in Galaxy High, who I drew back in 2015. Lum is the female lead of Urusei Yatsura, who I drew on commission in 2020. Both girls were in the 1 Club prior to this pic, but I wanted to pair them with each other rather than more popular characters like I do for that series. So, instead, I dusted off the Studio Tour series for the first time in a while. Urusei Yatsura and Galaxy High have an interesting history together. Urusei Yatsura was extremely popular in its day (and has a new series airing right now, though I haven’t watched it yet), and Shinsha was tasked with creating a similar series for the western market, since importing anime was rare back then. They created Galaxy High, and inverted the “alien girl in human school” premise to “human boy and girl go to alien school”. They also traced some animation from UY for GH, including the last shot of the opening credits where Aimee looks a lot more like Lum than usual.
The WWOEC Woman of the Month for December 2015 is Wendy Garbo from Galaxy High. I’d never watched the show before, but I gave it a quick glance-through for this pic. It seems pretty fun, and there are some cute characters I wouldn’t mind drawing. However, it’s hard to imagine me having the time to drawing more Galaxy High stuff, even if Booey Bubblehead is really cute.
The line in this pic is a reference to something Wendy said to Aimee Brightower (the girl between her legs) in the first episode. She bragged about keeping an excellent record of the school’s boys, but I imagine she also keeps track of the best lesbos in the class as well.
