Ever since I first started the MomSwap series, I always wanted to eventually do some sort of actual swapping between the accounts we see. I wasn’t sure exactly how I wanted to do it; for a while I wanted to try doing a full comic focusing on a swap, or maybe a one-to-two page affair. I never felt like those were viable options, though, especially with how many other comics I’ve loaded myself down with, but recently I decided to take a swing at this approach. I picked the Parrs and the Prouds partly because they’re two of my favorites I’ve done for this series, and partly because I liked the punny title that came to mind. I don’t know if or when I’ll do another swap, as I’m far from done making profile pages for this fictional mom swapping app, but I might do another down the line. Are there any mother/daughter pairings I’ve done for MomSwap y’all would like to see make a trade eventually?
So I watched Netflix’s Glitch Techs the day it came out, and I knew right away that I would want to draw Miko here with her mom for this series. This wasn’t what I had planned for the next MomSwap entry to be, but I wanted to get them in while I was still riding high on the show. It’s been a good while since I made that decision, now, but I am glad I finally got them done. Miko’s a fun character to have available for the Near Hentai Studio, too, I hope she’ll get to make some more appearances down the road.
So, like I did with Daphne before, I’m using the “A Pup Named Scooby-Doo” version of Velma and her mom for the MomSwap series. Now, Velma’s mom in “Mystery Incorporated” is named Angie, but that version of the franchise is clearly in a completely different universe than any other version. That’s why I used the name Elizabeth for Daphne’s mom, rather than Nan, and why I’m just going with Mrs. Dinkley for Velma’s mom. However, like with Daphne, I do think there’s a good chance I’ll draw the “Mystery Incorporated” equivalent of this pairing somewhere down the line, since I do like the idea of Velma and Angie getting it on.
I’ve been wanting to do Reggie and her mom Judy in MomSwap for a minute, but I had this weird hang-up where I didn’t want to release any Reggie pics until after I finished my “Butt Witch Victory” comic montage. Now that that’s done, though, I have a fair number of pics featuring Reggie I’d like to do in the future. Most of them will probably be with the Butt Witch, but other like this one won’t. This may well be the only time I draw Judy, though, which is why I was comfortable letting her be the main focus of this pic.
I’ve wanted to use the “Pup Named Scooby-Doo” versions of the Mystery Inc. crew for a while. Of them, I think Daphne is especially cute, so I used her and her mom first. Daphne actually has two different moms that appear in the show (there’s no indication they’re different characters, it comes across more like they forgot about her first appearance and introduced a new design when they used her later). The first time we see Daphne’s parents they’re just two rich people stereotypes, but in the second appearance they both look just like, well… Daphne. I used that later appearance here, since the family resemblance is there, and even though she’s not named in “Pup” Daphne does have a redheaded mother named Elizabeth in other versions of the franchise. I plan to do Velma and her mom in a later entry for MomSwap, too, but it won’t be the next one.

Happy Mother’s Day! I hope all of you who are able get the chance to spend some time with your mother today.
It’s been a while, but I went on a bit of a kick on A Kind of Magic in early 2016. I knew when I started this series I wanted to bring Willow and Cindy back for MomSwap, since I never did get around to drawing them together back then (was more focused on pairing Tom with them at the time). Now’s the time, though! This is another one of those shows where I’m less confident in how my approach works with the art style, but I think I did better with them now than I had in the past. I might try and bring these characters (especially Willow) back into my rotation more often if anyone would like to see more of them.
So, this is Claire and her mother Ophelia from Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia. Some of you may remember I did a yaoi pic with a couple of the side characters from this franchise last month. I found myself liking this series a lot more than I expected to, and I knew as soon as I saw Ophelia that I wanted to do a MomSwap entry (Claire is also cute, but Ophelia’s more my type). Claire in a honor roll type overachiever, while her mom’s a bit of a control freak who also holds political office, so I tried to tune their app bios based on that (Claire treats sex like something to study for, but her efforts do pay off, while Ophelia is a bit resistant but also deeply and secretly submissive if you push her in the right directions). I plan to do one other MomSwap entry based on the Tales of Arcadia franchise, though I’m not sure yet if I want it to be the next one I do or if I want to break things up a bit. We shall see, I suppose.

So I’ve been watching the newest version of GeGeGe no Kitarō. It’s not a perfect series, but I’ve been enjoying it, and I’ve had lots of ideas for different characters (yaoi, yuri, and straight). One pairing I caught on to as soon as both parties were introduced was Mana and her mother Junko. Mana’s a new character to this series, and serves as a sort of audience surrogate for the young target audience of the anime. Her mother Junko is barely a character, but she’s hot, and that’s all I needed to justify a MomSwap entry for the two of them. I wasn’t too sure how to write up the text portion of their entries, since the most I can think to say about either character is that they’re nice and pleasant, but I think this works. I hope you all like this new release, and I hope I can come back with more GeGeGe content in the near future!
