Month: June 2016
I’ve been a big Steven Universe fan since early in the first season. For me the show has a great balance of drama, comedy and really effective pathos, and Lapis Lazuli is a great example of those elements in one character. I don’t want to say too much for the sake of those who haven’t seen the show (I highly recommend it), but Lapis is one of my favorite characters. It seems many of you agree, as she spent a lot of time on top of my recent poll focusing on the gems of Steven Universe. I don’t expect this is the last time she’ll show up here, but I wanted to do a quick picture involving her cute little feet as a way to introduce her to the blog. I have other ideas for Lapis I’d like to try out eventually, as she has potential in a lot of pairing with other gems. There’s also a baseball outfit I’d like to try drawing her in at some point.
I’d like to draw more of the gems in general. Like I said, I’ve been a fan of the show for a long time, but for some reason it rarely comes to forefront of my projects. I have several half-finished SU pics in my work folder, many of which will probably never see the light of day. Hopefully I can get around to doing some more SU stuff, especially if people seem into it. I may even be able to dust of and finish some of the more salvageable pics I’ve got.
Here’s another commission from the same client that paid for Goku and Frieza together last month. This time they requested Frieza masturbating while wearing Goku’s over-sized Gi, with a Goku dakimakura in tow. Once again Frieza is presented her with different genitalia than he has in either version of Space Emperor Slut, which I think is convenient to help separate these commissions from that comic’s canon.
This is the last commission I had queued up directly, but I want to wait a while before I open them back up again. I’d like a little bit of a break from them, personally, and hopefully having a cleaner plate will make it easier to get out the comic pages I’m working on. If and when commissions are open again, the first place it’ll be shown is the sidebar on the side of this blog.
I’ve been wanting to do something with Disney’s Peter Pan for a while now. I’ve had a couple ideas bouncing in my head here or there, but nothing I was too excited about so they never really materialized. The other day the simple idea of Pan getting blowbanged by a bunch of Hook’s pirates hit me, and I decided to go ahead with it.
I hope I can return to this film again in the future, as there are actually a lot of characters I wouldn’t mind taking a stab at (both male and female). Besides Pan, most of the Lost Boys are pretty cute, as are all three of the Darling kids. Mrs. Darling is a knockout as well, plus there are sexy mermaids and Tiger Lily to boot. Oh, and of course we can’t forget Tinker Bell, who even as a small child I knew was sexy as fuck.
So yesterday I posted an old Erin Esurance picture of mine, and now today you guys get to see my 2016 approach to the character. I considered attempting the vector-like approach of the commercials again (as I did before), but decided instead that I would rather give my own spin to her design. This is a lot closer, I think, to the style I used for my old Eromugen comic. I don’t think of myself as having a style all my own, but I suppose if I did it would be something like this.
I’m honestly surprised I haven’t drawn Erin more than I have; I suppose it’s due to her commercials not airing anymore. I just don’t think about her as often, even though when they were airing I was obsessed with her. One of the reasons I chose to draw her way back when I was first starting out was because I had a huge crush on her, but there wasn’t much porn released yet (at least, not much I cared for). That’s changed since then, and a lot of talented artists have given their take on her. I would like to draw her again someday, maybe try crossing her over with Totally Spies or Kim Possible (or both?).
This is a quick and simple pic. Some time ago I ran a poll asking what Disney princesses you all liked, and while the top spot jumbled around a bit, Jasmine seemed to spend a lot of time at number one and was sitting comfortably ahead at the time the poll closed. So, when I was looking for a quick straight pic I could do to balance things out a bit around here, I went to her.
I had some fun with this one, as I used the colors from the actual balcony scene. I don’t usually use such strong purples in my shading, but for this pic it was nice and I’m happy with the final result. I don’t suspect this is the last time I’ll draw a Disney princess (or even Princess Jasmine, for that matter), and I might try a different palette next time.
Those of you who follow the cBox probably saw that I had to take my computer into the shop again yesterday. I don’t think there’s anything seriously wrong with it, but it doesn’t recognize the wireless adapter inside it and I think it needs to be opened up to fix. I’m mostly waiting for them to get to me, as there were other computers ahead of mine, but I’m optimistic that it’ll be a quick fix once it’s done. Thankfully, everything I did to continue working last time is still in place, so I was able to keep working on this pic and should be good to continue on others. It’s a bit difficult for me to draw new content right now, but anything I did the early sketch work for I should be able to keep working on. Really, the only thing that might be affected by this (unless the computer’s gone for a week or more) is the comics.
Also, I’m currently collecting the names of female characters you guys would like to see more of. I always enjoyed doing the Woman of the Month when WWOEC was around, and I’d like to try randomizing the suggestions of my followers to pick an obscure lady to draw sometime this month. I currently have four nominees, but I’m willing to take on a few more before I see who the lucky lady is.
