I tried to think of some funny mysteries Velma could reference from around the Near Hentai Studio that she’s solved, but honestly I couldn’t think of anything that didn’t feel really forced and unfunny. Regardless, the Studio’s laid back enough that people have time to pursue their non-porn passions, and Velma’s only done a couple appearances for our releases anyway, so she’s had plenty of time for mystery-solving.
So I know the Son family -does- go to market to buy groceries and stuff, but I just couldn’t picture Chi-Chi taking the time or spending the money to find any sort of commercial lubricant. Living up in the mountains like they do, it seemed much more reasonable to me that she’d mix up her own organic concoction using a mix of the vegetables and roots available on their farm with some simple oils and stuff she already had for cooking. The description of taste at the end there is based on something I read online about how a similar lube tasted, though I think they were just recommending not eating it.
I’ve decided to change up the aesthetic of the Character Asks just slightly by giving them a more colorful background. Like the various shades of off-white the old Asks have, these colors will change with each new month, or set, of answers that I do. As for this Ask in particular, it’s referring to the pic I did a while back of Jessie rimming Ash. Like her answer suggests, this was not an isolated incident, as Jessie and James have both enjoyed toying with Ash and his friends when they have the chance. A much older pic I did of them involves Jessie guiding Ash’s head as he blows James, and there are surely countless other incidents that I haven’t drawn. ^_^ I’d like to do more with Team Rocket some day if I can.
So this Ask is of course in reference to the one other time I drew Jean. Carly Sims, one of Jean’s classmates, recorded him on her phone while he was blowing another boy in class. Maybe later I’ll get to explore Carly’s relationship with Jean a bit more in comic form, but for now they’re at least close enough that Carly later showed him her recording and emailed him a copy that he can enjoy in private.
It’s been a while since I’ve drawn Frieza! I plan to go more into Frieza’s characterization (as it relates to my work) in future projects, so for now I’ll just let his answer speak for itself. I tried to pose him in as revealing a position as I could without getting too overt, which is harder than it sounds for a character with no genitals (by default).
Also, here’s the second episode of “Near Talk”. This one might be a little weird, but it’s covering something I get asked about fairly regularly.
Both of Goku’s recent Asks have ended up referencing the first one he did. ^_^ Anyway, Goku sums this up pretty well. I’ve drawn him with Goten before, but Goten’s usually paired with his boyfriend Trunks because of course he is.
So Clementine tends to keep to herself around the Near Hentai Studios, but she’s been making friends and has found a few partners to work with. Probably she’ll get the chance to appear with some of them in, like, Studio Tour or Xoverse content in the future.
Asks for the Pokémon, even the Near Pokédex ones, are always hard because I try not to ever have them talk. I suppose with the anthro designs for the ‘dex versions they might could, but it feels weird and I prefer not to have them talk with words. So with this Ask, where my thought process was “If you’re picking a starter for your adventure, that’s a personal decision”, I decided to just have both Charmander and Bulbasaur present the goods. It’s up to the trainer to decide who will be the best fit for them on their Pokémon journey.

So, um. Yeah. Not much to say about this Ask. I generally try and discourage people from fishing for something specific because it can lead to answers like this. I feel like this probably isn’t what this asker was hoping for, but it’s the only answer I could give. Hopefully the beefcake fans in my audience will at least enjoy the view of Goku while he mulls this one over.
