Ash Ketchum Character Ask 6

So this is an Ask I’ve neglected to answer for a couple months now (sorry WildBlue). I just couldn’t think of an interesting way to have Ash respond that felt, like… right. I believe this Ask is specifically trying to play into a fetish for being nude and being seen nude, but that’s kinda hard to work with, especially when all the Asks are answered in the nude anyway. So if Ash answered “no” (which felt right, honestly, though I also had trouble thinking of how to phrase it), then his answer would be super weird if he was also just standing their naked. When I did hit on his answer that he gives here, though, that felt really accurate for a response. It also gave me the chance to give some more interesting visuals, since he could kinda demonstrate the results of him being nude around his Pokémon. I went with Infernape as his partner since 1) I didn’t want to introduce a new ‘mon I hadn’t drawn yet and 2) While I’ve drawn Infernape, I haven’t drawn him with Ash despite Ash and his Infernape having a really cute dynamic in the Diamond and Pearl series. I think that covers all the explanation for this one, so please enjoy seeing Ash get his ass wrecked by a fire monkey.

Son Goten Character Ask 4

When I read this one, my first thought was, “Who would Goten consider his master?” No one really comes to mind. I mean, Piccolo trained him and Trunks a little with the fusion stuff, but I don’t think I really count that (plus I can’t recall those two interacting with him much outside of that one time). Similarly he’d spar sometimes with Chi-Chi as we see in one flashback, and he joined Videl in taking flying lessons from Gohan, but… none of those feel like the same sort of relationship as what made Goku/Gohan work for me in Special Training. I may not be positive what this person was hoping the response would be, but I think Goten’s confused reply here makes more sense for him.

Arella Character Ask 2

In the weeks approaching Mother’s Day, Raven found herself without any clue what to get her mother back in Azarath. Their relationship had been forever changed since she and Beast Boy had visited her a while back, but that only made her desire to get her mother something special even stronger. She had tried talking to Beast Boy about it, but he was predictably unhelpful. Then, with only a few days left before the maternal holiday, Raven and B.B. sat down for a movie night. They popped some popcorn and sat down to watch Requiem for a Dream, a movie Raven had been meaning to watch for a while, but Beast Boy had never heard of. They both had different reactions to the bulk of the film, but they clicked on one scene at the end. As Jennifer Connely found herself surrounded by screaming business men, throwing dollars onto her sticky, naked body, Raven looked over to Beast Boy. He looked back, a wry smile on his face as he’d had the same idea. Arella’s Mother’s Day gift was decided.

Vegeta Character Ask 2

First of all, let me apologize for Vegeta’s rudeness here. I don’t think he fully gets (or cares) that the supporters asking these questions keep the Near Hentai Studios open.
So I had the idea for how to handle this Ask pretty much immediately. Basically, I didn’t want Vegeta to choose, and I think it makes for a better visual anyway if he just refuses to and says “both”. It’s been a long time since I’ve drawn all three of these guys together, so I hope you all enjoy the little family reunion.

Marth Character Ask 1

So, I feel like this Ask was probably fishing to see Marth paired up with a guy from another series (Asks along these lines usually are). I was having trouble settling on something that I liked, though, but I also felt like drawing Marth, so I made a compromise. Marth’s a character I’m really fond of, despite not having played any of his games, and I’d like to take a few more stabs at him again in the future.

So for this Ask, the choice was obvious to me. Arella’s interest in Raven was my favorite element of One Night in Azarath, and probably something I’ll focus on again for future Arella projects. I just love mother/daughter stuff, so that’s how Arella’s own tastes have skewed. Nothing much more to say about this one, other than I’d like to try and draw Arella again sometime soon if I can.

I admit I don’t know her that well, having not played the games, but that’s just what feels right to me after watching some cutscenes and stuff for research when I’ve drawn her in the past. Like she hints here, though, I do have another “Clem x Anon” pic in the works, though I have no idea if or when that’ll actually come out.

Character Asks Crossover Dragon Ball Naruto One Piece

Goku and Luffy Character Ask 1

I had a bit of trouble with this Ask, not just because of Naruto’s presence (I’ll get into why he’s there in a bit), but also because I’ve had some recent troubles that have soured my opinion on Luffy. I had a lot of emotional difficulty getting through this, but I’d already settled on the idea and wanted to get it out.
So I knew the visual I wanted for this one almost immediately. Goku and Luffy double teaming a boy from some other series was obvious, and Naruto seemed fitting. On top of my continuing effort to ease my way back into being able to draw characters from his series comfortably, I think he’s appropriate in a sort of Jump Force reunion sort of way. Hopefully fans of these series (or even one or two of these series) will enjoy seeing these three main characters paired up like this. The difficult part was figuring out what I’d have them say, since there’s not much to talk about here…. hence them basically saying nothing. Oops.
