Here’s the final page to this little comic. Everybody gets to finish on someone’s face. Some of you may remember that this comic was commissioned to help cover expenses following a personal disaster, but the commission I sold was for ten pages. This marks the end of the first half of that commission, and sometime down the road I’ll begin working on another five-page comic that makes up the second half.
I don’t know if Thorfinn has much interaction with any strong women in Vinland Saga. From my limited time with the series, the only strong woman I’m aware of is his sister. So I don’t know if there’s much canonical basis to work off of here, but there was at least one strong woman in the Studio I thought might remind Thorfinn a bit of home.
We’ll be well into it by the time this post goes public, but for Subscribers this Ask is coming out right at the start of the Year of the Horse. It’s a bit of a meme in Attack on Titan that Jean has a horse face or even is a horse, but in the Studio there are much horseier folks around. Thirty-Thrity is a BraveStarr character I included in a pic many years ago, but this is his first time appearing fully on camera (it was mostly just his cock before). He’s giving Jean a horsey ride to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
I feel like I’ve seen Yuji paired in one way or another with almost every pink-haired anime character out there, but I feel like Bocchi ranks high among them. Partly just due to their series getting popular around the same time, I think, I’ve seen many JJK/Bocchi memes, edits, whatever. I wanted to do something with them here, and hopefully this dynamic between them will be fun for people.
I mentioned wanting to pair Jiji and Yuji up back when I did that Ask with the two of them, but one other character I felt would pair well with him was Kirishima. Kirishuma doesn’t have quite as many obvious parallels to Jiji as Yuji does, but I just kinda feel like they make a good crossover pairing. This Ask seemed like as good an opportunity as any to test my theory.

It’s possible this Ask was just looking for Gold Ship working out or something, but I took it a different direction. I saw this as a good chance to pair her with some pretty fast runners in the Studio.
So I’ve had this notion in my head for a while now that Kipo would make naturally good friends for both Yuji and Corey separately. I won’t get into the reasons for either, but I see them as relatively platonic pals who can hang out together (although I’d say the same for Yuji and Nobara, and they still fuck, so I’m not saying that’s off the table). Kipo’s obviously way too young for Corey, but I still think they’d make good pals. I’ve mentioned this in passing a few times, so I expect the anticipated answer was something along these lines.
I know production for this comic has slowed a bit, and I’m sorry for that. This match is one where I had a strong idea for how to start it, but for this stretch I have less of a specific idea for how things should go. Still, I’m enjoying these two together and I hope you’ll enjoy the rest of the match.
Some folks might remember Nimona is one of the ladies who interacted with Denji back before he had his first time. I figured I’d get around to drawing them together again after his virginity arc wrapped, but it took a little longer for me to get to than I thought it would.
I’ve ended up drawing the Parks with Nanami a lot more than I thought I would when I first introduced them.
