I had a feeling when I gave the Holloways green hands and feet someone might want to see something like this someday. At any rate, I think Ember’s answer here speaks for itself.
It’s been almost a decade since I first drew Near as part of a very old commission, and he’s been in the 1 Club ever since. As the follow-up to L in the anime they replaced L’s love of sweets with a love of toys, which is what’s being discussed here. I figured Near might not have a favorite toy, but he’d still want to show off a little something.
I don’t know how much I have to add to this one, other than I had a pretty good idea how to answer it right away. I’m pretty fond of Ymir, so I was happy to get to draw her again here. I have other sketches of these two I’d like to use for finished pieces eventually, but I decided not to use any of them and go with a new drawing for this Ask.
I don’t usually do Asks poking fun at typos or whatever, but I thought this one leant itself well to something naughty. Plus… I really like Namari and was eager to use her again. I’m not even a handjob guy, really, but I bet hers are special.
I don’t know if Luffy has any specific people he’d list for a question like this, as he’s never struck me as the pickiest of people. Rather, I thought it might be fun to make this Ask more about going outside your usual roles, and pair him with a boy who usually bottoms.
This Ask jumped out to me for a couple reasons, which I tried to include here. First, this is just kinda a weird crossover, which I like. Mikasa, for as long as she’s been in the Studio now, still hasn’t picked up on every little fashion trend or whatever from other worlds. I thought her initial misunderstanding would be cute but understandable. I also think this could, potentially, spin into a follow-up Ask or something later if there’s interest. It’d require someone to Ask the right question, but maybe we’ll get to see Mikasa try out a goth look somewhere down the line.
I’ve drawn Vegeta with Goten at least once for the NHS Calendar (need to get back to that soon) but it was the shota version of the latter. Of course I’ve drawn Goten topping Gohan a fair bit, though again it was with different versions of the characters. I don’t believe I’ve ever drawn him with Gohan, and technically I still haven’t drawn him inside of Gohan due to how the dynamic of this threesome played out. I figured this might be a fun chance to explore a little something here with these versions of Gohan and Goten, and I hope people enjoy seeing them like this.
I haven’t seen Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie in a while, but I feel like she’d be fine sharing her boyfriend in the Studio. These two have a cute friendship in the anime, and we haven’t really seen Izumi since his debut. There’s actually a bit more Shikimori content planned that you might end up seeing come out in, like, a month.
Spike and Julia are two of those characters who you know would appreciate a fresh start in the Studio. There’s a lot of history and complications between these two, but hopefully y’all will enjoy seeing them reunite here.
For Subscribers, this Ask went up on Easter. I’ll often avoid holiday-themed Asks since they go public so much later, but I feel this one won’t be too out of place even in July. I had an idea for how Chica might feel about this question immediately, but then I thought her being a chicken might also inform her opinion on the proliferation of egg imagery in Easter. I also just haven’t gotten to do much with Chica outside of her game content, so I thought seeing her again might be fun.
