This is the fourth and penultimate page of Hot Yoga. Not sure yet when we’ll wrap this one, but for now here’s the bulk of this comic’s action.
I had an idea for how to handle this Ask last month, but I really didn’t think Ylva’s first appearance after her First Shoot should be with anyone other than Thorfinn. So I did that Ask as part of last month’s batch, but I really wanted to do this one during this month’s while I was still keen for the idea. I’m no expert on Vinland Saga, but to my knowledge these characters never meet in the series (especially not these versions of them). That’s part of the fun of the Studio, though. Of course I had to have Canute getting pegged again, it seems like the best course for both his and Ylva’s style to me.
So while these two might be aware of later events from their canonical story, I wanted their reunion in the Studio to be unique to them here. Ylva had a few different questions sent her way, but I thought a reunion with Thorfinn should take priority before anything else.
There are some men in the Studio who are so in love with women that, even if they awakened as pansexual in the Studio, it’s a little hard to picture them choosing to go after other men for sex. Kintaro has at least kissed a guy once, canonically, but I’ve always tried to pair him with women who don’t feel too far off from the types of women he chased in Golden Boy. This Dare puts him out a little bit, but luckily for him there are some guys in the Studio who are also not too far off from his established type.
For Yuki’s spotlight One-Shot, an element of the script I ended up not utilizing was a request for bi elements. I felt like it distracted from the focus on her, and I ended up just not doing it. I figured this Ask would be a good way to make good on that a bit, and I tried to use characters who wouldn’t have been out of place in that OS.
Here’s the third page of Hot Yoga! It took me a little longer than I’m comfortable with to get around to it, but this page kinda transitions us into what’ll be the main meat of the comic in the next page. Our boys seem to be having fun, and I hope y’all are too and will look forward to seeing what they get up to in the next page (whenever that comes out).
Ylva’s the third Vinland Saga character to win a First Shoot poll, and probably the last. I can’t really think of any other characters from that show I’m likely to include in one of these. Spoilers, but I’m aware she eventually reconnects with Thorfinn, and I’m sure her Studio counterpart will learn about/future remember that encounter eventually, but I thought it’d be more interesting if we got her between his leaving the family and then. It also allows her something to talk about with her random partner, who’s had her own complicated sibling relationship in the Studio.
This is a simple one, but I had an idea how it might be answered and I thought people might like to see Canute again. I considered pairing him with another big-cock top for the answer, but I decided this route felt a little more right.
Here’s the second page of Hot Yoga, one of two short comics I sold last year to cover an unexpected financial burden. This page picks up the action a little bit, but we’ll move on to the real meat of the comic in the next page.
I always worry about answering these types of Asks where the answer is “no.” Probably the asker was hoping to see Canute topping or dominating someone, but I felt like I had a good grasp for how he’s respond and this was a better fit I think. That’s not to say Canute can’t top or whatever, but I feel like this is the more honest answer.
