I’ve been wanting to take a stab at Rick and Morty for some time now, but for whatever reason nothing ever came together until recently. I’m not sure what triggered it, but I busted out this pic of Summer and Rick faster than I usually do, so here it is. I hope you guys like this one, since I’m intended to do more with the show in the future. I’m still figuring out how to best portray the show’s style, but I think I’m on the right track.
I’m also wanting to try and incorporate more text SFX into my non-comic images, like I did here. Let me know if you have an opinion on this, but I think it adds some extra life to the pic.
I’ve been wanting to do more with Danny Phantom for a while now. I feel like I’m still finding my footing with western cartoon designs like this one, but I’m much happier with this result than I am some of my past attempts.
Let me know if you guys want to see more of Danny around here. I have other ideas for him (both gay and straight). I actually have two different comic strips that both feature Danny in a bisexual role, so if there’s interest I might pick one of those up after I’ve wrapped up some of the current ongoings.
Like I mentioned in yesterday’s post, for the time being I’m regulating myself to smaller-scale pics that I can do in my current less-than-ideal set-up. Today’s pic is something I’ve been wanting to do for a while, Timmy with his mom. I hope I’ll be able to do more Fairly OddParents stuff in the future; so far I haven’t done much with it despite it being one of my favorite shows back when it first started out. There’s a long list of characters I’d like to draw at some point, especially now that it’s been on for approximately forever, but I’d also like to try some more stuff of Timmy’s mom as well.
