I love Garnet and have wanted to do more with her for a while. I wasn’t happy with many of my recent attempts to draw her, though, so she hasn’t appeared as much as some of her fellow Gems. I decided to try and rectify that a bit with this Ask, which I think is kinda fun. I paired her with King Vegeta partly because I thought this Subscriber might like that choice, but also to give her kind of a starter Saiya-jin for her return to the screen.
I don’t really know that much about the demons of Demon Slayer, but I figured an answer like this might be appropriate for this question. The Saike Demon is a minor Dragon Ball Z movie character who doesn’t have much screentime or characterization. He seems like a friendly guy, though, and I’m sure Tanjiro would prefer dealing with him over more malicious demons.
I was originally going to try and match the weights Gon was lifting here to ones he lifts in a gym in the anime, but it fit weirdly into the Ask shape so I gave him a lighter load. I don’t have the faculties to elaborate on this answer today, sorry, but I think this one mostly speaks for itself.
So there’s a few different characters who I could’ve paired Alex with here, even more if you count “spy-coded” characters like Kim Possible. However, something about pairing Alex with Lana spoke to me, and I’ve been thinking about Archer more lately for some reason anyway. So here’s the first drawing I’ve done of Lana since 2011 with Alex of Totally Spies!
The “Knuckleheads” in Azumanga Daioh is a nickname for the trio of Tomo, Osaka and Kagura. While it’s usually just Tomo getting on Yomi’s nerves, they have collectively frustrated her as well, and I figured it’d be fun to see the Studio version of that.
A pretty self-explanatory Ask here. I decided to let Choso and Inosuke just work one-on-one despite their shared connection through Yuji.
It seems like Zarbon just arrived to the Studio and, after learning how things work, started hooking up with Vegeta immediately without catching up with him at all. He’s meeting the family now, though, the hard way.
While Tomo is a beast in her own world, obviously she wouldn’t fair well in hand-to-hand combat against a lot of the Studio denizens. She seems to be happy with finding a different way to win over stronger opponents, though.
Yuji and Megumi have appeared several times together, but I guess I’ve never drawn them one-on-one before. So, here that is.
Like I mentioned in the Jim Lake Mini Commission I did recently, it’s been a long time since I watched any of the Tales of Arcadia shows. While I’m pretty sure Claire and Aja interacted and were friendly, I don’t remember exactly what their dynamic was like or how much screen time they got together. Regardless, even though they both have their boyfriends in the Studio, I’d like to think they have a close relationship here.
Both Claire and Aja came in through the MomSwap series and haven’t been seen since. This is actually the first time I’ve drawn Aja in her true form, since she had to be in human disguise for the MomSwap for story reasons. Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys this cute little interaction.
