Yunyun’s a character who didn’t leave much of an impression on me during my original watch through of KonoSuba. Later on, though, when watching the spin-off series “An Explosion on This Wonderful World!” she really grew on me. That series focuses on Megumin, and Yunyun is basically the main supporting character, or even the second main character, so she got to shine through a lot more. I considered doing a pic with the two of them back then, but nothing ever came of it. When she won the NHML raffle for December I figured I’d go back and try to do something like what I wanted to do then, so here that is.

Funnily enough, Megumin herself was the NHML for December of 2018, so I think it’s fun she gets to come back and help with her best friend’s debut now in December of 2025. It’s a heck of a coincidence, but a nice full circle for her.

With this post, NHML nominations for the month of January are now open. For those who don’t know, I’ll run down the rules real quick. Nominations are limited to one per person. You can nominate any female character you want, provided I have not drawn her within the past calendar year (though I prefer characters I’ve never drawn, period). Previous NHML winners are not eligible for a second time. Nominees must also not be from the same franchise as this month’s winner, KonoSuba. If you violate any of those rules, I’ll let you know, and you can nominate someone else. I know it can be hard to keep track of these things. You may nominate by either commenting in the cBox, commenting on this post, or emailing me (Nearphotison2010@yahoo.com). I’ll compile a list of the nominees in the sidebar of this site, and then on January 1st I will use a randomizer to select the winning character who I will proceed to draw sometime that month.
