Here’s the ninth page of Tournament of Lust. This match ended up having a bit more to it than I’d originally planned, but we should be wrapping it up in the next page.

I posted a couple commissions not long ago that I said were part of an emergency fund-raising effort I had to run. The bulk of the funds raised from that sale were through a ten-page commissioned comic. The individual who bought that comic couldn’t fully decide on which characters they wanted to use, however, so we agreed to split it into two five-pagers. This is the first of those, a little three-way featuring Yuji, Inosuke and Thorfinn.
Updates for this one might be a little spaced out initially. Both “The Eizouken’s Closer” and “Leave It All On the Court” are only a few pages from finishing, so once those wrap I’ll be able to focus on this one a bit more. Until then, though, I did want to at least get it started with this opening page, and maybe there’ll be another page or two before those other comics finish. Regardless, I hope y’all will enjoy this one!
I had an idea that I thought would be funny, and I guess I just let the intrusive thoughts win this time.
So, just a reminder for folks who don’t know, but I have a handful of different categories for the types of ongoing comics I work on. One is the SubscribeStar monthly comics, of which there are four that cycle through one page per month on a rotation schedule. I also have a handful of comics that just update when I can get to them (Tournament of Power, Butt Witch’s Busy Weekend, Leave It All On the Court and The Eizouken’s Closer are the current lineup of those). The rest of the comics I do are on a rotation schedule, where I will work on one comic for 3-5 pages before then moving on to the next on the schedule. I have this schedule posted on the sidebar of my site, but it’s pretty far down, so I don’t know how often people see it.
This page marks the end of ZMN’s run as the focus comic in this rotation. I know it’s just getting to the good stuff, but it’ll probably be a while before we work our way back around to this one. For now, though, we’re going to leave things here and move on to the next comic in the rotation schedule, which I’ll talk more about when the first page of that comes out in about a month.
I toyed with the idea of Ogun bottoming in the One-Shot where he debuted, but ended up going a different route. I thought Kirishima and Bakugou might enjoy some fun with him, though, so this Ask is a way to explore that I guess.
So in Dandadan there’s a few different types of aliens, but Momo’s first and impression of them was the Serpo aliens, an all-male race who abduct women with the purpose of impregnating them. Now the aliens Momo encounters in the Studio are also mostly interested in sex, but that has more to do with them all being in the Studio than anything about them specifically. I figured it’d be fun for her to have some pleasant consensual interactions with a couple of the more attractive aliens we have in the Studio. I went with Jeice and Salza specifically to have a little fun commenting on their dub accents.
I believe I’ve mentioned this before, but for these “first person you meet” and such Dares I tend to use the same randomized selection process I use for the NHML and First Shoot partners. When I saw who Mai got as a partner, I had this idea for her response that I thought would be funny.
I love Garnet and have wanted to do more with her for a while. I wasn’t happy with many of my recent attempts to draw her, though, so she hasn’t appeared as much as some of her fellow Gems. I decided to try and rectify that a bit with this Ask, which I think is kinda fun. I paired her with King Vegeta partly because I thought this Subscriber might like that choice, but also to give her kind of a starter Saiya-jin for her return to the screen.
I don’t really know that much about the demons of Demon Slayer, but I figured an answer like this might be appropriate for this question. The Saike Demon is a minor Dragon Ball Z movie character who doesn’t have much screentime or characterization. He seems like a friendly guy, though, and I’m sure Tanjiro would prefer dealing with him over more malicious demons.
