For whatever reason, while reading this question, I just thought of Speed-o’-Sound Sonic. I haven’t drawn him much, and I thought it could be kinda fun to see something with these two, so here they are.
So I knew from some other posts they’d made that this Subscriber was interested in seeing Sakurai and Jun together. Since both guys are defined primarily by their girlfriends, I wasn’t sure if I felt right about jumping right into them just fucking or whatever. However, both guys are pretty athletic, and Sakurai specifically loves going to the gym, so I figured there was some room for them to bond as workout bros. That translated into this Ask, which I hope fans of beefcake will enjoy.
I was reading this Ask when I realized I actually already had an answer to it. I don’t remember the catalyst, but I’ve been sitting on doing something with Butt Witch and Cinderella for a few years now, I think. Even if I don’t remember my original reasons, this is a crack pairing I vibe with and it was fun to finally do something with them together. I figured I’d also use this Ask to imply some other relationships Butt Witch might have in the Studio, and probably Cinderella and maybe a couple others mentioned here will show up on her stream eventually.
This is a commission for one of my Lord Tier Subscribers, featuring their favorite boy Killua with Kazuma Ikezawa from Summer Wars. I like Summer Wars a lot, and have considered drawing Kazuma in the past. This isn’t really how I would’ve used him, as I think he has enough interesting options within the Summer Wars canon, but this is what the commissioner wanted. I’m also not entirely sure how much sense the dialogue makes, but I suppose that doesn’t really matter.

Not only does this Ask get to play into the bit where Goku is a far less discerning judge than Vegeta, but it also allows Tanjiro to callback to another Ask he appeared in recently.
There are some men in the Studio who are so in love with women that, even if they awakened as pansexual in the Studio, it’s a little hard to picture them choosing to go after other men for sex. Kintaro has at least kissed a guy once, canonically, but I’ve always tried to pair him with women who don’t feel too far off from the types of women he chased in Golden Boy. This Dare puts him out a little bit, but luckily for him there are some guys in the Studio who are also not too far off from his established type.
So, on the surface this is maybe not the most daring dare, and might seem like it’s just pairing two random strong characters. However, an important part of the lore here lies in a background gag in Project A-ko. We only see Eiko’s parents in passing, but it’s a running joke that her parents are Superman and Wonder Woman, though they never state it outright. Now, obviously her dad isn’t the Superman from My Adventures with Superman she’s paired with here, but I think she might be able to recognize even an alternate-universe version of her dad, glasses or not. It just took her a bit for it to really click, which we see here.
Cheelai won our Superstar Tournament on Discord, which gives her the right to pick any Studio member she hasn’t worked with before for a shoot. I did this one a little different than previous winners, but hopefully y’all won’t mind. Cheelai was looking for a specific experience with her victory shoot, but Toji wasn’t really willing to give it to her until she egged him on a bit.
Really, my initial idea for these two was just this second panel, but I was worried it wouldn’t be clear enough who she’d picked. Adding a panel to the scene allowed me to tell a bit more of a story, though, and it fits with both characters’ Studio presentation so far so I think it worked out.
I don’t usually do Asks like this one, but something about this crossover clicked for me. Gohan has a few tenuous connections to the Gems, but mostly I just kinda vibed with him getting along with these two. It probably didn’t hurt that I got to draw Lapis and Peridot doing something together, which I’m in favor of.
For Yuki’s spotlight One-Shot, an element of the script I ended up not utilizing was a request for bi elements. I felt like it distracted from the focus on her, and I ended up just not doing it. I figured this Ask would be a good way to make good on that a bit, and I tried to use characters who wouldn’t have been out of place in that OS.
