I liked the idea of seeing Tina with a much larger man, just getting pinned down like this. Mirio was the obvious choice for her partner, for the same reasons that lead me to pair him with Bugs for the crossdressing Ask a while back.
I believe I mentioned earlier that I have something in the works involving Bugs Bunny. I recently settled on using the Looney Tunes Show design for this project, as I think it’s a bit sleeker and sexier than the more classic design, and this project will also involve some crossdressing. This Ask seemed to me like the perfect opportunity to practice drawing Bugs this way, so here we are. I guess I’ll go off of people’s reactions to the Ask to see how much more I need to work on my approach with him. As for the other half of this pic, I felt like I should use someone recognizable instead of an anon, but I didn’t want to go to any of the standard tops. Mirio is someone I haven’t used much, plus I thought his distinctive facial features might make him fit in easier with a western cartoon character like Bugs.
Historically, I always assumed that if I ever drew Mirio, it’d be with Deku. That ended up not being the case, due to Eri’s NHML win, but now that he’s in the Studio it was only a matter of time until I did something with these two. I didn’t see much of their relationship before I stopped watching MHA, but I do think their friendship is cute and they make for a natural pairing.
The Near Hentai Monthly Lady for April 2022 is Eri from My Hero Academia. She was introduced in the last episode of the anime I watched, so I never saw her arc and only know a few surface details about her. I never really had any intention of drawing her, since I have no personal attachment to the character and she’s a bit younger than I typically go for, but here we are. At first I figured I’d just draw her with Deku, since I know he has to protect her during her arc, but then I thought I’d use her NHML as an excuse to draw someone else from the show I’ve gotten requests for. I was thinking either Mirio or Nejire, since I saw pics of her with both of them when searching, but after skimming her Wikia page I decided on Mirio. It seems like they have kind of a cute relationship.
With this post, NHML nominations for the month of May are now open. For those who don’t know, I’ll run down the rules real quick. Nominations are limited to one per person. You can nominate any female character you want, provided I have not drawn her within the past calendar year (though I prefer characters I’ve never drawn, period). Previous NHML winners are not eligible for a second time. Nominees must also not be from the same franchise as this month’s winner, My Hero Academia. If you violate any of those rules, I’ll let you know, and you can nominate someone else. I know it can be hard to keep track of these things. I’ll compile a list of the nominees in the sidebar of this site, and then on May 1st I will use a randomizer to select the winning character who I will proceed to draw sometime that month.
