As has become tradition, here is a compilation of some moments from this year’s Studio Christmas party. Hiro Hamada won the lottery to get chosen as the official Studio Santa this year, but as you can see he’s not the only one sporting the look. I had a lot of fun putting together this year’s party, and I tried to fit in an eclectic selection of characters. I hope there’s a little something for most everyone here, and I’d like to wish you all Happy Holidays and a Merry Christmas.
So I know this may not be the most exciting Ask. However, it’s been a long while since this Subscriber got an Ask, and I thought even if the answer’s not super interesting it might be cute to see Stark get a little flustered. Even if he’d normally be fine being naked for an Ask, I think talking about how he normally wears clothes is making him a bit more conscious than normal of his nudity. A simple Ask, but hopefully a cute one.
I thought it’d be fun to pair Stark up with a warrior from a different world, and Guts seemed like a good choice to me. Not only do the come from similar fantasy worlds (if very different in tone), but it’s a good set-up for the same sword joke I made in the last pic with Guts in it. It’s also the first time I’ve drawn Guts’s face, so there’s that, too.
I watched and quite enjoyed the first season of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End. I’m hoping to eventually do a fair bit of art from the series, although I can’t say for sure when. In the meantime, I wanted to do something quick and fun with Stark, who I think is very cute and was a joy in the series itself. I figure maybe he’d enjoy having some fun with some random villagers in a town they’re passing through, possibly to kill time while Frieren and Fern are busy taking the mage’s exam.
