MomSwap – Daphne and Mrs. Spankenheimer

So last month for Christmas I did a picture from the film “Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer”. I mentioned when I did that I wanted to do Jake Spankenheimer’s mother and sister sometime for MomSwap and, well… it ended up happening faster than I thought.

I don’t know what it is about the characters of this film that draws me to them. The movie is pretty bad, I can’t even pretend I’m a fan of it, but the style emulates other, better works in a way that leads to pretty attractive character designs. While working on both that other pic and this one I found myself tempted to even draw some of the unnamed supporting cast. Cousin Mel from the other pic has an uncanny resemblance to Daphne Blake, while this picture’s Daphne looks like a blonde Melody from “The Little Mermaid II”. It’s probably just these familiar elements, but I wouldn’t be completely surprised if I draw this movie’s characters again.

Anyway, Daphne and her mother here don’t play a huge part in the film, but they both had pretty good designs and I like the idea of having some obscure characters in the MomSwap series. They won’t be the last ones, either, as I have a pretty damn long list of pairings I think could work in this series. These two aren’t even the most obscure ones, though there’s plenty of main stream mother/daughter couples left to feature as well.

Episode 1, “Double Swirl for the Ice Cream Girl”

So this is something I started back in the spring. I wanted to do something featuring two boys going around fucking a variety of different older women. The format I went with here is inspired by the artist Aporon, who I can probably attribute the inspiration for this idea to. I wanted to use original characters for this, so I can basically take them in any direction I want.

In this first entry, Mace (the pink-haired one) and Jackie (the white-haired one) buy a custom order from the driver of an ice cream truck in town.  Debra Seema, who drives the truck to help pay her way through college, is all too happy to accomadate the boys for some extra cash.

I don’t plan to do entries in this series all the time, but if you guys like these two I do have lots of ideas for them.

Monkeying Around All Day, Part 1 – Morning

First off, let me say that this isn’t part of the Twenty. This is actually an older commission I took on a few months ago, but due to the size and scope of it I’ve been working on it as a background project (like I do the comic pages).

This commission comes in four parts, which will be released whenever I finish them. I just recently wrapped up this first part, featuring our boy Mowgli when he’s first been captured by those pesky monkeys. It’s been a while since “The Jungle Book” has shown up here, and I hope you guys are as happy as I am to have Mowgli around again.
