Golden Boy Episode 6

This pic conclude my series making a pic for each episode of the Golden Boy anime. This episode is unique in that it’s not adapting the manga, but rather the animation studio showcasing what their job is like by having Kintaro work at a fictionalized anime studio. The main girl for this episode is Chie, one of the animators, but another popular character is “Producer.” Like Madame President from the first episode, she doesn’t have a proper name and is just known by her job title. Her design does seem to be based on Megumi Moriyama from the manga, but they’re different characters so I can’t use that name for her. Despite not being the main girl of her episode, Producer is highlighted frequently as even gets prominent placement on DVD box covers and the like.
So I always knew from the beginning this pic would feature Chie and Producer, but as I was working on it I was reminded of another unnamed member of the anime studio’s staff, a woman only identified as “Colourist.” Now, this series hasn’t been an exhaustive inclusion of every single girl from the show, there’s a few here and there I didn’t include, but like with episodes one and two I did try to fit in characters I especially liked. I really like this Colourist lady, I think her tired/annoyed look is really charming. So I fit her in last-minute.
This concludes my main Golden Boy series, but I do hope to do more with the franchise eventually. I might go back and do stuff with some of the ladies I missed, and I’d still like to do a one-on-one with Kintaro and Madame President eventually. I expect that won’t be for a while, though, and for now I’m just happy to finally finish this little series.

Fuji Shikimori

A little bit ago I was thinking about a character type I see sometimes, that being the (usually older) brother of a girlfriend or waifu character in anime. I was thinking about doing something focused on those characters, even though I only had a handful of them in mind, but I gave up on the idea. Of the characters I had listed, two would’ve been new debuts. I decided to do little pin-ups of each of them, starting with Fuji from Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie. I always liked his vibe, he reminds me a bit of how I’d do Mace if Applebridge did a timeskip or something.

Sayaka Kanamori Character Ask 2

Kanamori has a really good personality for topping other girls, and it’s part of why she’s done it so much so far. Less of the mean or cruel type, but definitely bossy, it’s easy for me to picture her calmly but firmly drilling a girl to squealing, toe-curling release. While I think she’s a natural for that role, I don’t see her as being strictly a top or anything. I’ve already drawn her getting fucked pretty good by some guys, but she can take it from other ladies, too. I went back and forth on a few different partners for her here, but I ended up settling on Pearl. Pearl’s kinda the inverse of Kanamori, in that it’s much easier for me to picture her bottoming, but she has some room to switch it up. She’s also a tall, gangly type like Kanamori, which I think makes them natural foils and a good fit for this Ask.

A New Boo

So I’m sure I don’t need to introduce Cynthia from the iconic and turbulent Ghost-Trap!!! games to any of you. I kinda wish I could’ve gotten this out in October as a Halloween feature, but once I had the idea I decided to push it out quickly since I don’t think there’s much content for this character yet and I’d like to change that. Even though I’m personally more a fan of the original game, I did use influence from her redesign in the sequel, particularly the bust that’s visible beneath her sheet. I also borrowed a little dialogue from that game, since I thought it’d fit well here. I didn’t have anyone in particular in mind for her partner, so I just used John Itor. I guess he abandoned his trusty mop for a different long and hard weapon.
Obviously Cynthia’s pre-ghost design from the third game is also up my alley, but I don’t suspect I’ll draw her any time soon. For now I just wanted to have some fun with some ghost legs and feet.

Marko Laine Bio

I don’t know how many people will remember Marko here, but he showed up in an Applebridge Snapshot back in 2020. I know a lot of people immediately associate him with Mirio from MHA, for obvious reasons, but he’s actually based on both Mirio and a Pokémon character named Milo. Both have a number of things in common, and the idea for Marko was just that he’d be the same type of boy as them, even down to his name having the same similarities. Marko has a larger role to play much much later on down the line in Sunkissed Youth, so I thought it might be prudent to get a bio out for him. I have a couple more bios planned for characters who will eventually play a role in SY, so look for those sometime in the near future.
