We ended up with a rather oral-focused page this time around. A couple of the scripts I got had panels focusing on Bulma stripping Vegeta, but I had to skip the armor-removing stage of that just ’cause it looked a bit too silly however I tried it. Even though this page doesn’t move things forward too much, I kinda like the relaxed pace here. Now that everyone’s naked, I kinda expect the next few pages to escalate relatively quickly.
The March 2024 One-Shot focuses on Scarlet from Space Dandy hooking up with a few different memorable characters from the series. It’s been a minute since I’ve watched the show, but I don’t think she ever actually meets Prince or Johnny, but they’re both featured characters in two of the more iconic episodes. Pine-Pine is a coworker of hers, and Dandy is the show’s main ship, though.
Scarlet’s a character I’ve tried to do something with for years, but when I got stuck on the BooBies Calendar it became incredibly difficult for me to get anything Space Dandy-related out for a few years. It’s nice to finally get her into the Studio, though, and the other three she’s bringing with her are nice additions as well. I decided to go with a different look of hers for each panel, and thought it’d be kinda funny if none of them were her “default” look. I’m sure that design will show up eventually in an Ask or something, though.
This is the penultimate page of Space Emperor Slut. This is also the last “action” page, as the final page will be wrapping up the story. This moment here, including the last panel and Trunks’s line, have been planned from day one back in 2015, and it feels nice to finally get here
Page four of Closing Time! Tiana and Nanami continue having fun together. A lot of this stretch of the comic is just sketches I ended up churning out when I started it, and it might go on for a bit long, but I hope y’all will enjoy the ride.

Of the scripts submitted for this page, I found a few common themes I tried to incorporate into the final product. Kobeni’s really getting ganged up on here, and I actually have an idea for my own I’d like to maybe force my way into the next page.
The February One-Shot had a very simple premise, to see Goku giving his “special training” to three characters he hadn’t yet in the Studio. It’s a pretty straightforward theme, which I think is nice for the final comic. The three characters this Subscriber chose are Inosuke, Najimi and Kai, who have all been on very different tracks in the Studio so far I think.

Here’s the second page of “Closing Time”! Since this project’s so simple, there’s not much to say here. I felt some folks would want a little bit of hair-pulling, with Nanami being paired with someone with a ponytail, but don’t expect it to get much more extreme than this.
So “Closing Time” is a smallish comic project I’m trying out. The idea is to use a simpler approach to the paneling based on some other short comics I’ve seen around, which I’m hoping will make it possible to do comics that are longer/more substantial than One-Shots, but not take years like my full ongoing comics. To try this out I’m using a somewhat popular crossover crack ship I’ve seen between Tiana and Nanami, which I alluded to a while back in Nanami’s first Character Ask. Using that Ask as a set-up, I thought it’d be fun to see them together here in this format. I’m expecting this comic to run 6-8 pages, though I might end up trimming it shorter if I can. We’ll see.
