December ’19 One-Shot

Here’s the One-Shot I did for December, selected from nominations sent in by my supporters. Of course the holidays referenced in this comic have now passed, but it was more timely for my supporters. ^_^; This one presented a couple of unique challenges. First, was that I have very little experience working with the Fairly OddParents style (I’ve drawn it before, but it’s been ages). I did my best to find a compromise between my more realistic approach I usually use and the uber-stylized designs of the original characters. Also, the last panel was left completely open to me (except the dialogue). I decided that, since the pic was presented as a message from the Studio versions of characters, I should use Siat Wildstar, who’s sort of the mascot of the Studio. Since her panel is all about looking forward to the new year, too, I decided to work in a “look forward” theme, with her training three new characters (or, in Kefla’s case, a combination of two characters already in the Studio). Darkness is the last of the main KonoSuba girls for me to bring in, and Nessa’s a popular new character I’ve gotten a few requests for. Seras in the first panel is also new, though she’s been nominated for NHML maybe a dozen times. It’s also fun to bring in Mrs. Claus from the comic I did with CCat for Christmas 2018, paired again with her favorite boys, Mace and Jackie.

SlappyFrog – Timmy’s Wish

If you want to see more of SlappyFrog’s work, check out his site here: http://www.slappyfrogcolors.com/

So this is a collaboration with SlappyFrog I’ve been working on for a bit now. SF approached me about possibly collabing on something, and we discussed some fun ideas. We settled on this, Timmy exploiting his access to fairy magic in order to get some action from some thicc MILFs he’d seen on TV. I’ve always enjoyed concepts like this, a boy somehow getting to fuck a woman or women he’s lusted after on television, but I haven’t had much chance to explore that particular idea in my own work. SlappyFrog did the drawing for this pic, and he did a great job. I inked and colored the page, and wrote the dialogue (with feedback from SF helping to fine tune things). I’m pretty happy with the end result, I think it’s both funny and sexy. I’m definitely open to working with SF again some time in the future, though if we do collab again it definitely won’t be until next year as we’re both busy people. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy this little comic!

Aang Captured

Here’s a commission I did of Aang being captured by some Fire Nation soldiers. The client wanted me to re-create a scene where he’s briefly captured in this same manner (in fact, I even used the same angle so I could copy the background/chains directly). In the show he escapes this pretty quickly, but in this version the soldiers all take turns on him instead. He doesn’t really seem to mind.

May ’18 One-Shot

So the winning One-Shot script was described as a “MomSwap” comic, which might seem odd to those unfamiliar with my work since there’s no swapping of moms on this page. MomSwap is a series I run that’s based on a fictional app for young girls to trade moms for an evening, and the pictures I release are all their accounts (based on apps like Tindr or whatever). So the pics are all mother/daughter stuff (even if I do hope to one day show some actual swapping), and this comic page is basically just four pairings I hadn’t done yet that the person who submitted the idea wanted to see. Of course, last month I did post a Jazmine/Sarah MomSwap entry, but that had not been released when this script was submitted. I don’t know if I’ll ever do Lisa and Marge for the app, since The Simpsons always feel weird to me when they cross over with non-yellow properties, but the Possible and Fenton pairings are both ones you’ll almost certainly see sooner or later. Like with Jazmine and Sarah, they’ll be different than what’s shown here. The MomSwap apps show a number of photos each account has attached (it’s the number next to the camera icon in the corner of the image), so I like to think of the pics on this comic page as extra photos from those galleries.

Also, some time last month I ran a trial Q & A session with a video for my supporters. It was a test run, but I might do more as I enjoyed it and those who participated seemed to as well. I went back and forth on if I wanted to release the video publicly, and ultimately I decided it’d be fun to. I might do more videos in this style, not just answer vids but maybe vids on topics I get asked about a lot (I was thinking one early one might be discussing my issues with Naruto, which I get tired of explaining every few weeks). Anyway, below is the video, I hope you all find it entertaining.

Korass

In order to keep from going a week or more without any posts, I quickly finished this picture I had lying around from April. It’s difficult to keep the blog updated right now because I’ve had to return to my day job, which I’ve been away from all summer. Plus, I’m still trying to get the new comic pages out, which don’t create immediate results as every panel tends to take about as long as a regular picture would. These things, plus other obligations, are keeping me from pumping out several pics a week right now. To those of you frustrated by my inactivity, just remember: Nobody gets more angry or frustrated when I don’t have anything to post than I do.

The Avatar series (both TLA and TLOK) is one I always want to draw more of, but never seem to get around to for one reason or another. Both series are filled with cute character designs I’d like to explore further, and maybe one of these days I’ll get the chance.

Kai

This is another commission, this time one that was only done at the lineart stage (for financial reasons). The client wanted to see Kai dominating Mako and General Iroh, all from Avatar: The Legend of Korra. I only watched the first season or two of this show, so I never met Kai and barely knew Iroh, but hopefully fans of this show (and young boys topping men) will enjoy this picture.

Break Him In

The little guy here is Youngblood, a minor (no pun intended) Danny Phantom villain with only a couple of significant appearances. The first time he showed up it was to team with Ember while dressed as a pirate. His second appearance is this one, where he played cowboy and tried to make Danny’s family think he’d gone crazy. In this pic he takes a slightly different approach to getting his revenge on the ghost boy.

This picture came about after, relatively out of nowhere, I started getting more and more into the idea of a shota getting topped by a younger (but “bigger”) shota. Other artists I hold in high esteem had done this a lot already, and we’re heading that way in A Trip to the Past, but I decided to test the waters a bit for this particular type of pairing. I know ATTTP is very popular, but I’m not sure how much of that is due to the idea of younger boys topping an older one, and how much is just the phenomenon of Dragon Ball and Gohan, both of which seem to go over well around here no matter what.

I have several ideas at the ready from different series if it seems people like this sort of thing. If not, well, it’ll probably still crop up here and there, but maybe not as soon or as often. If you have an opinion on the matter, let me know.

There’s So Much I Can Teach You, Daniel

I’ve been wanting to do more with Danny Phantom for a while now. I feel like I’m still finding my footing with western cartoon designs like this one, but I’m much happier with this result than I am some of my past attempts.

Let me know if you guys want to see more of Danny around here. I have other ideas for him (both gay and straight). I actually have two different comic strips that both feature Danny in a bisexual role, so if there’s interest I might pick one of those up after I’ve wrapped up some of the current ongoings.

Mrs. Turner

Like I mentioned in yesterday’s post, for the time being I’m regulating myself to smaller-scale pics that I can do in my current less-than-ideal set-up. Today’s pic is something I’ve been wanting to do for a while, Timmy with his mom. I hope I’ll be able to do more Fairly OddParents stuff in the future; so far I haven’t done much with it despite it being one of my favorite shows back when it first started out. There’s a long list of characters I’d like to draw at some point, especially now that it’s been on for approximately forever, but I’d also like to try some more stuff of Timmy’s mom as well.
