Galactic Getaway, Page 2

Here’s the second page to our ongoing yuri comic, Galactic Getaway! In this page we move to the location where the rest of the comic will take place, an unspecified alien beach. Since this isn’t based on any specific location from Dragon Ball, I tried to make the colors interesting while also keeping it recognizable as a beach. Since our last yuri comic also took place on a beach I wanted to try and make sure the vibe here didn’t feel too repetitive, but we’ll see how it goes. At the end of the day we’re still dealing with sand, ocean, and a little towel for our girls to have fun on.

February ’26 One-Shot

The winning February One-Shot was Demon Slayer focused. I actually recently started watching Demon Slayer, but only occasionally. Unfortunately, where I am in the show, really only the four main characters spread through these panels are the only one’s I’ve seen much of (and I already knew them just through my work). In fact, there’s a couple characters here I don’t think I’ve ever even seen before, even in passing. That being said, I did my best to capture them all here. I know there’s been some demand for Tokito from some folks, and there’s been people wanting to see Shinobu again after her Studio debut a while back. I also know that Mitsuri’s a pretty popular character, as I see her around often and always see a bunch of cosplays of her at conventions. So I hope fans of this series will enjoy seeing their ranks fill out a bit more in the Studio.

Subscriber Scenarios #18 – Take a Load Off

This Scenario is probably going to have less of a broad appeal, but it’s one I personally took a lot of interest in. This is one of the ideas I was considering last month, but since this Subscriber’s had a couple Scenarios I went with the Scooby one instead. This month I did go this way, as Maison Ikkoku’s an older anime I’m quite fond of. I’ve used it a bit in AMV work, and y’all have seen me draw Akemi Roppongi a few times by now. Kyoko Otonashi (center) and Hanae Ichinose (left) are both making their debuts in my work here, and I’m happy to have them. Kyoko’s the female lead of the series, and the manager of the building all the central characters live in. Hanae’s a mother and part of a trio (including Akemi) who frequently get drunk and party together. Both Hanae and Akemi have their own distinct relationship with Kyoko, but this sort of interaction doesn’t feel that far off for them.

BooBies Calendar #11 – November

It’s been a while since the last BooBies Calendar update (although not as long as the first gap, thankfully). This is mostly because the October lady, who we named Nova Nyx, was the main reason I started this project to begin with. Once I’d finally drawn her, I lost a lot of my momentum for the project. To top it off, most of the more memorable or standout designs (excluding ones that are beyond the realm of what I’d be interested in drawing) have appeared already. So there’s a handful of more generic attractive women left, and I was having trouble choosing who to use since they were all kinda equal in my eyes. I ended up grabbing five from the remaining waitresses to use for November and December, which is why there’s two girls this time. Like before, I conversed with my Discord some, and we came up with the fan names Andra Ray (blonde) and Vivi Nebula (purple hair) for these two.

Ryūko Matoi Character Ask 6

I’m not sure if this Subscriber had anyone in mind when they asked this, but for my money I immediately thought of Kanamori. While she and Satsuki both have long dark hair, the real connection in my mind is more one of aura. Both are prone to dramatic poses and an intimidating presence; hopefully anyone who’s seen both of their shows will know what I’m talking about here.

Mikasa Ackerman Character Ask 3

Mikasa and Ember are an interesting pair, as they have a sort of two-pronged path bringing them together. On the one hand, Mikasa’s partner Eren has worked multiple times with Ember’s partner Silas, including one foursome that involved both girls. Beyond that, Mikasa’s been exploring this goth arc recently, and while I don’t intend for it to be a main feature of her character in the Studio, it is a fun angle to revisit and one that fits well with Ember’s spooky Halloween roots.
