This pic kinda ties in to the Choso and Envy Ask I did a while ago, in that it spawns from the same event. I didn’t get to play much into how I think Ed and Yuji’s dynamic would work here, but I think it’s a fun ice breaker pic if nothing else.
Here’s page five of our monthly SubscribeStar Bi Ongoing! There were only two scripts submitted for this month, which were fairly similar to one another, but I did my best to pull from both as we move into the real meat of this comic.
The winning script for the November One-Shot focuses on two of the main ships in Fairy Tail. The script called for some unspecified dialogue in the last panel, and I did my best to write something that fits them even though I have only a passing familiarity with the characters. Hopefully everything here feels on-brand.
There’s two different girls in Gushing Over Magical Girls who I ship with Utena. I like both of them for different reasons, but one is Sayo Minakami, or Magia Azure, one of the three magical girls Utena torments as Magia Baiser. Azure finds Utena’s actions awakening something in her, and her inner masochist comes out through confrontations with Magia Baiser. Their civilian identities also have a cute dynamic, and I really wanted to do at least one pic with the two of them (although I might do more in the future, I certainly have others lined up already).
This Subscriber has been looking for something with Tanjiro and Rimuru for a while, I think, but I haven’t really had a good throughline to do anything with them together. The Studio’s a big community, though, and I figured there’s good odds they’re at least aware of each other.
I don’t usually do anything for Thanksgiving. I’ve considered it in the past, but this year I decided to go ahead and do a quick little pic I thought might be fun. It’s a pretty common holiday porn trope to tie someone up on the dinner table, usually with the implication of “dinner” being the guests groping, licking, etc. to the prone person. Here we have Fern serving up Frieren for such a feast.

Of these two choices, I feel like Zarbon is just more Gohan’s type. I kinda wanted to try something with them for his answer here, and somehow he’s managing to answer in spite of having his mouth full. What a talent.
So with these pages we finally conclude the first chapter of “For Whom the Bells Toll.” I believe I’ve mentioned before that my original plan was to tell this story through the Applebridge Snapshots series, and if that’s what I had done then this chapter would’ve been told in one page like the rest of that series. I think it’s not hard to imagine what the Snapshot version of this would’ve looked like, but I think telling it this way will work better for what I have planned long-term. The next chapter will cover what would’ve been the second Snapshot page, but it might be a while before I get to it. I have a lot of other projects to work on, but I do intend to get to it sometime in 2025.
I couldn’t really see Megumi being particularly verbose in answering a question like this, but hopefully y’all will forgive him.
