I don’t think Denji’s progress/training/whatever with Makima necessarily should be told entirely through Character Asks. I decided to do a little boobjob pic between these two that I thought might be fun. Hope y’all like it.
This is basically just a follow up to a previous Ask with glasses Power. I thought it’d be fun to have her doing more of a group study session, and I picked three more-or-less random characters to fill the slots. Each of these three have their own reasons for going to Power, I think, but she doesn’t really care she’s just happy to spread knowledge.
I was considering this Ask at first purely just because I like Gamo-chan and haven’t drawn her in a bit. As I thought about it more, though, their dynamic fleshed out a bit in my mind. Kobeni does kind of naturally lend herself to being bullied, so it wasn’t hard to fit them together like this. I think this is a bit of an unconventional crossover, but I had fun pairing these two up.
Continuing the new tradition I started last year, for Christmas this year I want to take a little look at the annual Near Hentai Studios Christmas Party. A couple of these panels were ideas I had last year but couldn’t do, either because I ran out of space or because the character(s) I wanted to use hadn’t publicly debuted yet. Others are just ideas off the top of my head this year, and hopefully we got a fun mix of appeals. Also we get to see our 2023 Studio Santa again, and I immediately had this idea for how Scorpia would work in this role, which I think is fun. At any rate, I hope most of you can enjoy at least one of these panels, and I’m already looking forward to trying out more ideas next year!
I kind of had this funny idea for how to spin this Ask, I hope it comes across well. This is also a good excuse to draw Power’s super smart look, which I think is cute. Inosuke seemed like the perfect “student” for Power’s tutoring.
I don’t feel like I have much to say about this one. I felt like it was about time to do something with Aki and Denji on their own, and this is what came to mind.
It seems as if Makima’s taken over Denji’s explorations into sexuality since arriving in the Studio.
For the second page of Beach Treat I had a difficult balance to strike with the submitted scripts. The final page I settled on is kind of its own thing removed from any one direction people were pushing the comic, I think, but uses elements from what was submitted to get there. The first panel is something I really wanted to work into this comic but didn’t think would fit in later, though, so I kinda pulled an executive decision to fit it in.
Makima has the energy of a confident, lazy predator, so I picture her casually sizing up people as she goes around the Studio. I don’t personally think she has much of a type, really, but rather goes after anyone she happens to think is interesting for whatever reason. I went with Kazusa for her partner here in part because I just find it easy to picture her catching Makima’s attention, but also because I know this Subscriber is fond of her.
Kobeni has a brief line about her options for earning money for her family, where she mentions prostitution as something she could’ve done besides devil hunting. Now, I’m not advocating for prostitution as a great job here or anything, however I did kinda like the idea of Kobeni reconsidering that once she’s lived the NH Studio lifestyle a bit. For her partner here I went with Kaori from City Hunter, ’cause she reminds me a bit of the lady Kobeni gravitated to during the drinking party, which is my headcannon for her type now.
