For the Halloween season this year I’m planning to get out two Spookyverse Bios, and this is the first one. For the Halloween pic in 2017 I introduced Yumi here and her best friend, Michiyo, who will be the other bio at a later date. I’ve seen some pretty fair comparisons of Yumi to Yu Yu Hakusho’s Botan, but she was actually inspired by Aoi from GeGeGe no Kitarō. Yumi was originally an unnamed ghost character who would’ve briefly joined the main party in Eromugen, before being repurposed here as a Spookyverse lady. The Eromugen version would’ve just been a generic ghost, but like Aoi Yumi is a yuki-onna, a type of female snow ghost you may have seen show up in other anime or the like before. I’ll talk a little more about her connection to Michiyo when that bio drops soon.
Month: October 2025

So this update is a little different, in that it primarily just focuses on adding characters to the new “Hole in the Wall” location. This update adds:
Osana Najimi
James
Jessie
The Fairy Godmother
Zarbon
Becky Blackbell
Kazuki Yasaka
Chel
Kurapika
The selection is semi-randomized, so if you don’t see a name when you visit try coming back later. There’s also a new strip show available at the club featuring Xandir, and the comic “Beach Treat” has been added to your streaming options on the TV in your room. There’s also been a new stats feature worked into the code, but it currently has no in-game value. I think that covers everything this time, though it’s sometimes easy to forget smaller additions. I’ll begin work soon on the next update, but as always it could be a while so patience is appreciated. Here are the download links:

Perhaps moreso than any other “why not both” answer, I really can’t picture Gojo having a real preference here. I wanted his partners to be a guy and gal associated with each other, and while I considered a few different pairs, I think MHA and JJK crossovers are kinda fun. I realized I hadn’t really used Ashido in a bit and her working with Kirishima for a role like this sounded fun.
So here is page three of Capsule Corp. Bliss, where we finally get to some action. I think this is where I’m going to leave this comic for now, as I move on with my rotation. I think this comic has a good start now, but it was intended as a celebration for hitting a SubscribeStar milestone and I’m currently still dancing back and forth across the threshold of that milestone instead of firmly past it. I’m hopeful that when we come back to this comic on down the line we’ll be more securely into the era this comic was intended to mark the start of.
Haku occupies a weird place for me, due to my complicated relationship with Naruto. I originally read the Naruto manga as part of my Shonen Jump subscription, which was a big deal to me at the time. I enjoyed early Naruto when I read it as a kid, before the anime, and for me it peaked with the Zabuza arc. In hindsight that feels really sad, since that’s basically the first real action arc of the story, but nothing that came after ever hit as hard as that for me. Within that, Haku stood out to me as he was one of the first times I realized I could find a male character attractive in media. Obviously him being so feminine made it not that shocking, but from there I started realizing I could look at other male characters that way, first in Hikaru no Go and Shaman King, and later peaking with an “aha” moment for Cell Saga Gohan that lead to me deciding I wasn’t straight (it’d be a few years before I identified as ace).
So, Haku’s kind of a weirdly important character to me, and is probably my favorite character in Naruto as a whole by a good stretch. I’d mentioned liking him here and there in the past, I think, but I never really drew him for a few different reasons. Sometimes I find it harder to draw characters I have these unique relationships with, as if l lewding them might ruin how I see them or something (it never actually has). I also just, like, don’t think about Naruto very often and don’t usually have a reason to draw it unless someone’s paying me to. At any rate I’ve thrown Haku into First Shoot polls a few times, and in this instance he happened to win. His random lottery partner being Denji is a big part of why I moved forward the end of his virginity arc, but it lead to what I think is a cute interaction between him and Haku here.
