The Near Hentai Monthly Lady for June 2025 is Kirara Amanogawa, or Cure Twinkle, from Go! Princess Pretty Cure. I’ve only seen a couple versions of Pretty Cure, and this isn’t one of them, but I do like Kirara’s design. The first image that came up when I searched her had her in a cute hat, but sadly that doesn’t seem to be part of her regular design.
I went back and forth on a few options for what to do for her pic. I considered pairing her with her mother, but I decided instead to just add her to my list for MomSwap. It’ll be over a year until her turn comes around, but she should show up at least one more time in that series. Looking at her teammates I had a few good options, but decided instead to do something a little different have all four of them pose together. Doing it like this would make it less of a time-eater, ’cause I don’t like the NHML to take too long to get out, but I decided to add this first panel because I felt I needed to draw at least Kirara’s face. I included Towa, who probably would’ve been her partner if I’d decided to just do a two-girl pic. This allowed me to also provide a reason for the pose, sort of, and create a bit more of a complete picture, I think. It’s a bit different than what I usually do for NHML, but I hope y’all will like it.
With this post, NHML nominations for the month of July are now open. For those who don’t know, I’ll run down the rules real quick. Nominations are limited to one per person. You can nominate any female character you want, provided I have not drawn her within the past calendar year (though I prefer characters I’ve never drawn, period). Previous NHML winners are not eligible for a second time. Nominees must also not be from the same franchise as this month’s winner, Pretty Cure. If you violate any of those rules, I’ll let you know, and you can nominate someone else. I know it can be hard to keep track of these things. You may nominate by either commenting in the cBox, commenting on this post, or emailing me (Nearphotison2010@yahoo.com). I’ll compile a list of the nominees in the sidebar of this site, and then on July 1st I will use a randomizer to select the winning character who I will proceed to draw sometime that month. I’ve been really happy to see how well-received Ember and Silas have been, but they’ve mostly just worked with each other with a couple exceptions. I thought it’d be fun to see Ember branch out a little bit, but I wanted to keep with what’s been established with her. So she brought Eren back from a previous pic for another round, along with Ginyu, who we saw (sort of) palling around with Silas at the Halloween party last year.
So, naturally, with this page we see a bit of Luffy and the shadow clone introduced in the last page double-teaming Naruto and Boruto. I feel like this is probably the peak of intensity for this comic, and we’ll probably wrap it up next time it comes around in rotation.
Here is May’s One-Shot comic and, as always, the script for this was submitted by one of my Subscribers. The premise of this One-Shot is pairing up older sisters with their younger siblings, with a selection from a few different anime. With the exception of the final panel I believe each of these pairings brings at least one new character to the Studio, which is kind of fun.

It occurred to me while working on this one that the question may have been specifically fishing for a shota to dominate Butt Witch, but I think even if I interpreted it that way that wouldn’t fit her well. In her source material, Butt Witch hates children and adolescence in general, so when she works with younger-bodied characters in the Studio she’s channeling that energy. I don’t really think she’d voluntarily take a submissive role with a shota. That being said, I do think she’d have fun getting roughed up a bit with the right top, and I went with someone I thought could give it to her well.
This is a Mini Commission for one of my Subscribers. The character here is Jonah Mar from Jormungand, a series I’m not really familiar with at all. I don’t really know anything about him, other than he seems like kind of a stoic, quiet young soldier, but I hope y’all will like him.
From a meta perspective, Scorpia and Ed’s situations are similar. Both have canon limbs that are annoying/time consuming to draw or pose, and replacing them with conventional limbs would make it easier for me to draw them more often. However, I feel like the non-meta details are very different between the two, with the canon explanations for how it’d be achieved being completely different as well as what Scorpia and Ed would both think about it. I tried to use that for Scorpia’s answer here.
This is another reward for the newish Vanguard Tier on my SubscribeStar. Vanguards get to choose one character that I will draw how I choose after ten months on the tier, and this Subscriber wanted to see Legoshi from Beastars. This is the same Subscriber who commissioned a pic of Legoshi a while back, but they obviously wanted to see more of him so here he is.
