It’s been a little while since Gohan last answered a Character Ask, and surprisingly this one is directed at a younger version of him I’ve rarely drawn. Sort of like his second Ask, this one’s just asking for the chance to ogle him.
So this started as something I sketched out when I needed a break from the commission stuff I was doing at the time. I just wanted to doodle something familiar, and decided to go ahead and flesh it out into a full pic since I know there’s been some demand for more Gohan/Zangya content. I’d like to draw these two again before too long, but we’ll see how things go.
So I realized halfway through this that I’d done something very similar to the Mt. Lady pic, but I decided to go ahead and finish this since it’d been so long since I’d drawn Bulma. Both pics were meant to be quick and easy ones for me to get out fast, so maybe I just find this pose really comfortable to draw?
Anyway, this is a look of Bulma’s I’ve always kinda liked. Her hair’s just so big and ridiculous, but I think it’s super cute. Since I’d been wanting to draw this version of her for a while, I thought it’d be a good time to use this look.
The Near Hentai Monthly Lady for November is Lime, the little girl Gohan becomes close to in episode 170 of Dragon Ball Z. I had a hard time getting started on this one, because I have lots of other projects I would rather be doing. I’m just not that interested in Lime, I guess, but I needed to get this done early enough that people can nominate next month’s characters. Because of that I feel pretty unhappy with the final result, but hopefully you guys will like it. I don’t have any plans to draw Lime again.
If you’d like to nominate a character for next month’s feature, the process is easy. Just leave a comment here or in the cBox on the side of the site naming which lady you’d like to nominate. Nominees must be characters I haven’t drawn in the past year (or, preferably, ever). I’ll compile a list of everyone nominated, and then on the first of December I’ll use a randomizer to select a winner at random. Then during the month I will draw a picture of her. Neat, right?
This is the first Character Ask for a character that doesn’t really speak (as I recall, the Cell Junior mostly giggle menacingly), though it’s not gonna be the last one. I had fun thinking up a good way to answer it, and hopefully the joke comes through despite the lack of dialogue.
This page took longer than I expected due in large part to the position used. In most of the panels it wasn’t a factor, but a couple of them proved especially time consuming for me, and took multiple drafts to get to look right. Hopefully the final product was worth all the work. I know these pages come out slower than many of you would like, but I can assure you I’m doing my best to get them out as quickly as I can. Page eight is already under construction, though I’m sure it’ll be a while before it’s complete.
Here is the One-Shot comic page from October. At the time that it went up on there it was very timely, but of course the One-Shots get released publicly a month after the fact, so it’s a bit late for Halloween now. I think the picture’s still cute, though, and hopefully you guys can enjoy it even if it’s no longer the spookiest time of the year.
The Near Hentai Monthly Lady this month is Erasa from Dragon Ball Z. I’ve drawn her once before (with Videl), but it’s been long enough that she qualified for nomination and she just happened to win the drawing this month. I decided to pair her with both Videl and Gohan this time around, for a slight change from last time (though I ended up cropping most of Gohan out to keep Erasa as the focus).
