This is an Epic Tier commission, featuring three characters from Fate/Grand Order. Like this client’s commission last January, it’s themed towards the New Year’s holiday, with the sake and the counting down. Doing three full-body characters in one pic was a bit of a challenge and took a while to work through (especially with some of the designs elements), but I worked on it a little at a time and was eventually able to push through to the end. ^_^ The characters (from left-to-right) are Shuten Dōji, Ritsuka Fujimaru, and Ibaraki Dōji. Ritsuka’s the player character (in this case, the female version, the male version appeared in a POV Christmas commission from this same person in December), and the idea here is that, as a human, she’s not able to take the sensations as calmly as the two oni. The big red guys are also meant to be oni, in case that wasn’t clear, though not any specific ones.
So I sketched this back around the time I did the Supreme Kai mini commission. Just kinda felt like drawing more of him at the time, but then I never got around to doing anything more with the pic. I needed a relatively simple pic to work on while whittling through larger projects, and decided this would do. I think it turned out pretty alright, and I hope you all enjoy it. ^_^
I feel like it’s worth noting that Izzy’s answer here isn’t the definitive truth, only his opinion. ^_^ I’ve had this pose sitting waiting to be used for some time now, and for whatever reason when I was looking for a question to answer I got the urge to plug Izzy in for this response. I feel like there’s a good chance they were hoping to see Izzy topping whomever he picked, but hopefully they won’t be too disappointed with this outcome.
Here’s the second and final page of “A Hero Emerges”, which is the comic comprising the last of the “fire sale” commissions I sold off a while back. This comic was originally going to be three pages, but due to how long it was taking me (thanks mostly to my own faults), he decided that he would rather put the money for the last page towards a different project. So instead, this story ends here. Hope you all like it, and apologies for the long wait between the first page and this one!
Minnie Mouse won my Near Hentai Monthly Lady raffle this month, and she’s a fairly unorthodox candidate. Obviously I enjoy some Minnie porn, since I went through the trouble to color a whole comic about her not long ago, but I know that not everyone is on board with me about that, haha. I thought one way to make this pic have a broader appeal, and also make it a bit more topical (with the recent release of Kingdom Hearts 3) would be to pair her with Sora. I don’t know if this specific pairing has been done before, but I’m into it. I have a thing for human/furry pairings, and Minnie being a queen in this continuity also adds an extra level of intrigue for me. For her design I used a couple different elements from her appearances to make a compromise (I like the little tuft of hair she has in Dream Drop Distance, but I also prefer the mouse ears crown from the first Kingdom Hearts, for instance), trying my best to make the cutest Minnie I could. I hope you all enjoy her, or at least Sora if she’s not your type. ^_^;
With this post, NHML nominations for the month of March are now open. For those who don’t know, I’ll run down the rules real quick. Nominations are limited to one per person, and if I catch anyone trying to do multiple nominations by changing their names I will remove all of that person’s nominations. You can nominate any female character you want, provided I have not drawn her within the past calendar year (though I prefer characters I’ve never drawn, period). Previous NHML winners are not eligible for a second time. If you violate any of those rules, I’ll let you know, and you can nominate someone else. I know it can be hard to keep track of these things. You may nominate by either commenting in the cBox, commenting on this post, or emailing me (Nearphotison2010@yahoo.com). I’ll compile a list of the nominees in the sidebar of this site, and then on March 1st I will use a randomizer to select the winning character who I will proceed to draw sometime that month. I look forward to seeing who you all nominate this time around!
My first thought reading the question for this Ask was Jessie’s original response. Jenny and Joy both seem like returning characters, but there’s actually very few times any of them make return appearances in the show. Jennys even get unique designs (especially in later seasons), though I went with the more standard design for recognizability’s sake. I had a few different ideas for how to convey the concept here, but in the end this is what I went with.
So the Studio Tour is a series that keeps getting put to the side. As a result, I have several entries for it sketched out, but it’s gonna take me a while to work through them. This one in particular is pretty old, but I’m happy to have it finished. I was inspired for this idea off how I’ve had Clementine answer a few of her Character Asks. Clementine has sort of ended up being a character we see more often talking about the NH Studio and such, rather than in-character talk of her games (mostly due to me not being super familiar with her games). I don’t remember why I chose Raven as the person for her to practice on (or to tutor her, however you’d like to see it), but she is a long-standing Near Hentai veteran. Her first appearance in my work (not counting colorizations) was in April of 2010, so she’s getting close to hitting a full decade on my roster, hehe. Good thing cartoons don’t age.
So I don’t believe Mrs. Brant had a first name at any point before. For the sake of this Bio entry, I decided to give her one. I really like Mrs. Brant, of the girls Mace and Jackie have teamed up on she’s probably my favorite. I’ve had several ideas for more content to do with her, some of which is hinted at in the text portion of this pic. I don’t know which of my ideas for her will get materialized first, but I’m confident she’ll show up in the Applebridge Snapshots series sooner or later.
Also, last month I did my third Q&A video, which I’m releasing publicly now:
